CHAPTER SIX

                     KYLE'S POV

"I was so scared Luna"

"I don't even know why I fainted, have you spoken with Doctor George yet?" She asks eagerly.

"Yes" I say nodding.

"What did he say the problem is?"

"Well..." I hold her hands and kiss them "Can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah, go on"

"Are you still in touch with Seven?"

"No, why do you ask?"

"You mean since you broke up with him he hasn't called or texted to check on you?"

"Well... I once met a missed call but when I called back it went straight to voicemail. Typical Seven" She says shrugging and I feel like bursting into tears. Of all the men in the world, she had to get pregnant for a guy who has blatantly refused to see her worth, a guy who doesn't see it necessary to make out time for her, a workaholic.

Father Lord!

"Wow, he's such a looser"

"Why do you ask?"

"Princess the doctor said you fainted as a result of too much stress which is not good for your health because..." I halt and look at her beautiful face. 

She's only twenty-one. This kind of news is too much for her to take. It will break her.

"What is it Kyle?" she asks worried.

"You're pregnant baby, the doctor said you are eight weeks pregnant" I announce and she freezes.

"No!"

"The doctor said so" 

She covers her face with her palms and shakes her head. I feel so bad for her.

"That sneaky son of a bitch!" She curses bitterly as she threads her fingers through her hair clearly angry and frustrated.

"Yeah, he's a son of a bitch and I promise you that the next time I lay my eyes on him, he'll be sorry. I will punch him so hard that he will bleed" I narrate angrily and she just stares at me confused. I wonder why.

"Who are you going to punch?"

"Seven, of course!"

"And why will you punch him?"

"Because he knocked you out and now he's nowhere to be found"

"And who said Seven is the one who got me pregnant?" She asks sternly and I get confused. If Seven, who is her recent ex-boyfriend isn't responsible for her pregnancy then who is? Or did she have a new boyfriend I don't know about?. If that is the case then I will be very mad at her keeping such a vital information from me.

"What is that supposed to mean Luna?"

"Seven is not the one responsible for this pregnancy"

"Then who is?" I ask confused.

"Ugh bro, come on" She says in a bored tune. She obviously doesn't want to talk about it but I am not going to let it go.

"I want to know who got you pregnant. I don't even know the guy. That is blasphemy!. I swear I'm going to go straight to whatever cave he lives in and punch the hell out of him.

"What is wrong with you and punching people today?"

"Do not even attept to change the topic, tell me who is responsible for this pregnancy"

"Now I feel like sixteen year old who is being interrogated"

"That is what happens when you have over-protective elder brother like me"

"Oh, so you know you are over-protective aye?... Wow!"

"LUNA !" I call firmly and she jumps in fright.

"Ugh Kyle, you will get mad if I tell you who he is"

"Oh really?, So I know who he is after all"

"All to well"

"Spill!" I say in a serious tone and she bows her head down and plays with her fingers. Some things about her just won't change.

"It's Ace Damon"

At the mention of the name Ace Damon, I feel my nerves tension in every part of my body. I try to convince myself that that's not the name I heard, that that's not the name she called but my mind keeps reminding me that I heard it just right. My baby sister cannot be pregnant for that pompous self satisfied strut.

She just can't be!

First he is engaged, that means he is already taken and second, we have unresolved high school issues. I can never forget what Ace and Sophia did to me in highschool. Ace as a my friend backstabbed me and Sophia who was my girlfriend betrayed me. They fucked me up big time in highschool and now they want to do the same thing to my baby sister. I will never let that happen. I'm in for the fight of the millennium.

"I told you you won't like him"

"How did this happen?" I ask sternly.

"We met at the highschool reunion party, had a few shots and then one thing led to another" She explains quietly and I'm glad she knows that she's wrong. I'm happy she's afraid of what my next move would be. I'm happy she understands the extent to which I tolerate her mistakes. I'm happy she's not proud of what she has done. "I was broken Kyle, I was devastated about my break-up with Seven and stuff. I know that was careless of me but I really just needed to get things off my mind"

"Ace already fucked me up before, hebis a narcissistic backstabbing wanker. I don't want him to do the same thing to you. I won't let that happen"

"Ace is the least of my worries, how am I going to tell mum and dad about this?. Dad is going to get mad at me" she cries.

"I don't think he... Uh uh...he will definitely get mad. He was at Ace's engagement party. He is going to scold you for getting pregnant for an already engaged man"

"Oh man!" She cries in frustration.

"Don't let any of this stress you out Luna. This happened for a reason and sooner or later we'll find out. For now all I want is for you to take good care of yourself, I don't want you fainting again. You almost gave me a heart attack"

"So... You are not mad at me?"

"At you?, No but at Ace, big time!"

"Kyle I don't want you to handle this , can you please leave it to me?, Please?"

"Luna..."

"Please" She pleads with puppy eyes and I feel my heart melt. She sure knows how to get me.

"Fine!" I say in a grumpy tone "I'm going to lie low but if..."

"I promise I can handle this"

"Alright then, for now you need to rest while I head back to the office"

"Please cuddle me before leaving" she says giving me puppy eyes again. So irritating.

"Stop giving me puupy eyes already. I'll cuddle you" 

I lie beside her and scoot her into my eyes carefully making sure not to hurt her in any way, she looks so fragile and weak and I can't help but act super carefully around her. My arms her stronger than all the bones in her body.

She's that fragile, that's why I'm over-protective of her.
