*Gaea*

Cheating?

My eyes widened in disbelief at his words. I never expected that the person Cybell knew… would be Russu.

“I—I just need to talk to him,” I stammered, unable to hide the nervousness in my voice—especially under the weight of Clyden’s piercing gaze. “Wait for me.”

I was about to walk toward Russu when Clyden suddenly placed his hand on top of my head and pressed down, stopping me in place.

I shot him an annoyed look. People inside the café were already staring at us.

“What are you doing, Clyden?!” I snapped.

He only smirked and leaned closer—too close—until his lips brushed lightly against my jaw, near my ear.

I froze.

“I hate it,” he murmured.

My brows furrowed. “Hate what?”

“I hate it when someone looks at my girl like they want to devour her.”

A small gasp escaped me when he suddenly pulled me closer by the waist.

“Because she’s mine,” he continued, his voice low and possessive. “Mine to look at… mine to touch… and mine to devour.”

“I’m not yours, Clyden. Let go of me,” I said firmly, pushing against his chest.

Truthfully… I used to see him as nothing more than a character.

Someone I would have written into my stories.

Someone I would have fallen for—because he was exactly my type.

But last night, I realized something I couldn’t ignore.

I wasn’t drawn to him just because he resembled my characters.

I liked him.

“Gaea.”

We both turned at the sound of my name.

Russu was already standing in front of us—I hadn’t even noticed him approach.

“Cybell told me you needed something—”

“What does she need from you when I’m right here?” Clyden cut in sharply.

I immediately stepped forward and pinched his side.

“Ms. Montessori,” he said through clenched teeth, shooting me a warning look.

“You’re being rude,” I whispered. “He’s talking to me properly.”

Then I glanced at him. “Can you wait outside, Clyden? I just need to talk to Russu.”

The corner of his lips lifted slightly, though the tension in his eyes remained. He let out a deep breath, glanced between me and Russu… then finally walked out.

I took Russu’s hand and led him back to his seat.

“I’m sorry to bother you,” I said softly. “I didn’t know you were the one Cybell was referring to.”

I couldn’t even look him in the eye.

Back then… when we were still together, I never asked him for money.

“I’ll go now. I’m really sorry for the trouble.”

I was about to stand when he gently pulled my hand back and placed an envelope in it.

My eyes widened.

“I know you need it right now,” he said.

I swallowed, about to refuse, but he tapped my shoulder lightly.

“I’m still your friend, Gaea. And you’ll pay it back anyway.”

I nodded slowly, slipping the envelope into my pocket.

I did need it.

And once I got paid, I’d return it immediately.

“I should go now, Rus—”

I stopped when he held my hand again.

“What is it?” I asked softly.

“Let me walk you out,” he said with a smile.

I bit my lip, about to pull my hand away—but instead, he gently guided me outside.

And then—

We both stopped.

Clyden.

Standing right in front of us.

Blocking the way.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked, his brows drawn together as his gaze dropped to our intertwined hands.

I tried to pull away, but Russu tightened his grip.

“Russu,” I called softly.

“Gaea Montessori,” Clyden said coldly, “you walk over here… or I carry you to the car.”

My lips parted in shock.

The car wasn’t even nearby.

“One…”

I tried to pull my hand free from Russu, but his grip was firm—unyielding.

“And who are you to order her around?” Russu shot back. Their eyes locked—both filled with intensity. “She came here for me. I’ll be the one taking her home—”

“I’m her boyfriend,” Clyden cut in, his voice sharp and final. “And let me make this clear—you have no business involving yourself with my girlfriend.”

Before I could react, he stepped closer and leaned down.

I thought he was going to carry me like he said—

But instead, he simply stared at me.

Too close.

Dangerously close.

“Ms. Montessori,” he said softly, smiling faintly, “shall we go home?”

My fingers clenched the fabric of my clothes as I stared back at him.

Somehow… his calmness made me even more nervous.

Then suddenly—

He wrapped his arms around me.

Tightly.

“I think you need to take this back,” he added.

I pushed him away slightly, only to see—

The envelope.

In his hand.

My eyes widened. “Were you a thief in your past life?!” I snapped, reaching for it.

He only shrugged and ruffled my hair.

“Clyden, give that back—”

“Why go to someone else,” he said seriously, “when I can give you everything you need, Ms. Montessori?”

I fell silent.

Unable to meet his eyes.

“Take this and leave,” he told Russu coldly. “I can provide for my girlfriend.”

Before I could say anything—

He lifted me.

“Clyden! What are you doing?!” I protested, hitting his back as he carried me. People were staring. “You’re making a scene!”

He ignored me completely until we reached his car.

He placed me in the passenger seat and shut the door.

I rolled my eyes in frustration, glaring at him when he got inside.

“You’re acting like some possessive boyfriend—and I hate it—”

My words were cut off when he suddenly leaned over, trapping me between the seat and his body.

“What are you doing?” I asked, my voice unsteady.

He didn’t answer.

Instead, he kissed me.

Quick.

Sharp.

And then he pulled away.

“I wouldn’t act like this if he wasn’t your ex-boyfriend,” he said firmly.

I shook my head and lightly smacked his forehead.

“You’re becoming a sadist, Ms. Montessori. Should I add another rule?”

I raised a brow, crossing my arms.

“What exactly do you do for a living?”

He looked at me, confused by the sudden question.

“Chief Executive Officer of Lee Empire. Problem?”

I smirked and pinched his ear.

“I thought you became a writer,” I said dryly. “You seem to know more about drama than I do.”

He laughed sarcastically and pinched my cheek in return. I slapped his hand away, wincing slightly.

He only smirked—

and started driving.

*Gaea*Russu dropped me off at the same convenience store where he picked me up earlier. As soon as his car disappeared from sight, I started walking back to Clyden’s condo. It was almost eight in the evening. But I had a feeling… he still wasn’t home.I was even humming to myself while unlocking the door—an idea for a new scene had finally come to me. For once, something felt right.Until I opened the door. And saw him.Clyden stood there, brows furrowed, eyes dark.Waiting.“Where did you go?” he asked, his voice low and controlled as his gaze slowly scanned what I was wearing. My throat went dry.My heartbeat quickened under the weight of his stare.“I went out to find inspiration,” I answered, trying to sound casual.I was about to walk past him—but suddenly, his hand gripped my shoulder, pushing me back against the door.I gasped softly.“What’s your problem, Clyden?!” I snapped, forcing myself to meet his eyes.“Which man did you run to this time for ‘inspiration’?” he asked col

*Gaea*I spent the whole day just staring at my laptop. Whenever my back started to hurt, I switched to my phone so I could lie down on the bed while writing.I glanced at the big wall clock when my phone rang. It was already five in the afternoon, so I immediately got up and went to the kitchen. Clyden gets off at seven, so I decided to prepare the ingredients first and cook around six so the food would still be warm.I went back to writing so I wouldn’t waste time. I managed to finish one chapter before the alarm for six p.m. rang. I left my writing for a while and returned to the kitchen to cook. When I was done, I went back to what I was doing. Even while writing, I still felt bored. I grabbed my phone from the table when it rang.“Ma, why did you call?” I asked as soon as I answered. I heard laughter on the other line, so I figured they were joking around again. “What are you doing there? Is there an occasion?”“Oh, nothing. Your father just said he misses you,” she replied. I sm

    • Gaea •By the time we arrived at Clyden’s condo unit, my whole body felt exhausted. It was ridiculous, honestly. All I did was sit most of the time—and occasionally argue with that man.I was hungry too, but I had no intention of getting up to cook. Maybe it was because of talking to Clyden’s friends earlier. I didn’t socialize often, and just that short interaction had already drained me. That was one of the reasons I became a writer in the first place—sometimes, I was too shy… or simply too lazy to deal with people.“Gaea, what are you doing lying there on the sofa?” he asked.I was sprawled out, my legs resting on the backrest.“Go change. Once you’re done, we’ll eat.”“Are you just going to order food?” I asked, hopeful.I immediately jumped up and headed toward my room to change, but before going in, I peeked back at him.“Make it something delicious, Clyden!” I called out.He just shook his head before standing and grabbing his phone.I went straight to the closet, grabbed a r

  • CEO'S Obsession (English Version)   Chapter 10: Tell them

    • Gaea •I was just about to finish the second chapter I’d been working on when Clyden walked over to me. He still had that irritating smirk on his face—the same one from earlier. If I could’ve scolded him properly, I would have done it already.“Do you need something?” I asked, frowning. He placed both hands on my desk and leaned slightly closer, locking eyes with me.“I don’t want to waste my time, Mr. Lee, so if you—”“Would you mind if I invite you to lunch?”I blinked, then instinctively glanced at my watch. I hadn’t even noticed the time.“So?” he pressed. My stomach was already growling, but I wanted to finish my chapter first. If I stopped midway, there was a high chance I’d forget what was supposed to happen next. That always happened to me.“You can go ahead, Clyden. I still have work to—”Before I could finish, he suddenly dropped into the chair across from me like a sulking child.I raised an eyebrow.“What are you doing?” I asked, confused. “There’s nothing wrong with wha

  • CEO'S Obsession (English Version)   Chapter 9: She's My Girlfriend

    • Gaea •Ever since Clyden sat down at his desk, we had both been busy. I didn’t mind it at all—I actually preferred quiet places when I wrote.I stood up for a moment to grab coffee from the pantry. I could never last long writing without it. I usually went through almost five cups a day. After preparing mine, I returned to the sofa, my brows knitting together when I noticed Clyden now standing by the glass window, talking on his phone.I ignored him and went back to my seat. I was about to start typing again when I realized my phone—just beside my laptop earlier—was gone.“Clyden, have you seen my cell—” I stopped mid-sentence when I saw the phone in his hand. It looked exactly like mine. “Is that my phone?”One of my brows lifted as he smirked. Annoyed, I stood and walked toward him, but before I could reach him, I heard what he was saying.“Yes, ma’am, I’ll take care of your daughter. Please take care of yourself as well.”My eyes widened. I rushed toward him, snatched my phone fr

*Gaea*I thought he was taking me back to my apartment so I could pack my things. But instead, he turned toward Binondo—and stopped right in front of Keanston Tower. The building of Lee Empire. My eyes widened as I stared at him. “What are we doing here, Clyden?” I asked, still in disbelief. I was standing in front of the biggest company in Y City.“Coffee?” he replied, raising a brow.I grimaced. I swear, his face was just asking to be slapped.“I told you I need money for my family—”I stopped when he pressed a finger against my lips, silencing me.“Give me your mother’s name and number,” he said seriously. “I’ll have my secretary handle it. You don't need to ask another man because I can give it easily to you.”I raised a brow. What’s the catch this time?“What’s that look for, Miss Montessori?”“Why would you lend me money?” I asked, suspicious. Even looking at him for inspiration came with a price—what more something like this?“Do you not want it?” he countered, frowning.I sigh
