Chapter 22

I knew it was a dream because the first thing I did was look down at my feet. I knew they were there but I just couldn't see them.

Most of my dreams had something that just didn't act with how the world works. A gun firing but the bullets not injuring someone, a person walking on the clouds, a cat that had a dog's body... something weird and unnatural.

Next, I looked around to try to figure out where I was. The room was small. Big enough for a double bed with a dresser next to it, but only extra room to walk by. Everything was a simple white.

The roof touched the top hairs on my head and slanted down towards a plain white door. For some reason, I opened the drawers next to the bed but found they were empty. I looked towards the door and felt my heart racing. The logical thing was to get out of the room, but it felt safe. Familiar.

I climbed under the white duvet and lay on the bed with my head tucked away under a pillow. That lovely scent of coconut drifted from the sheets... Kiar
