Chapter 23

“Let’s go shower then we’ll start packing. Do you have boxes?” Kiara asked as her head rested against my chest.

“Yeah, I do. I even remembered to buy some box tape.” I laughed and gave her one last kiss before we got up.

After the shower, we packed up my house which went surprisingly quickly. I barely had anything to start off with and with Kiara’s help, it was finished in no time. Everything was taken to the new house in 3 trips, with the bed or couch strapped to the roof which Kiara found hilarious. I loved how she wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty to get the work done. She even strained herself by helping to carry in the heavy stuff.

My mini fridge hadn’t even defrosted yet and it was already in its new home.

“Oh my gosh, I am tired.” Kiara laughed as she plopped herself down on my mattress which was in the lounge. We weren’t going to sort anything out or unpack today.
