Stupidity

“Yes?” Hunter spoke gravely as soon as the call was picked up.

“Sir, Dave has asked for some time!” informed the lawyer. “At least a couple of days! Although I tried to push for just a day, he stood firm, denying vehemently.” Daniel's skepticism was palpable as he recounted the exchange with Dave an hour ago.

“Huh?” A frown marred on Hunter’s face. His brows dipped down. Looking around a few hospital staff, he became conscious of his surroundings as he was about to speak. Not wanting any single person to hear his conversation, he walked to a secluded corner of the corridor which was away from the passerby’s vicinity, before inquiring further. “Did you not try to convince him properly? Did you tell him that it is in their favor as much as it is in my favor and, moreover, it is I who is initiating things, so Viaan has no worry handling media as well?” His tone turned grimaced as he asked, even though he already had the answers somewhere.
