Before Crystal could react, Rayan turned back at her and grabbed her hand. He pulled her from the chair and hide behind the cabinet with her as he heard some footsteps towards the kitchen.

When Crystal turned her head to him, he put his index finger on her lips, telling her not to talk.

"I heard some noise from her. Was it rats?"

Crystal gulped hearing Lily's voice. They were still awake. Yes, she saw them in the living room before coming here. They were so busy laughing so none of them notices them. But did she say rats? Like seriously?
