*BRAN’S POV*“What is this about a delay in the materials? Why didn't you tell me this?” I said, angry at him.“I am sorry sir, I didn't think it could be a reason behind her delay at work” Pierre apologized.“It's fine….and why is there a delay in supply all of a sudden? Mr Tyler was seated in his study and had ended the call with Sophia as he placed the phone on the table before him.“Did she say she would come?” Henna inquired, standing right beside her Dad.“She did not say but, of course, she will be present. She must still have a bit of filial duty towards me,” he said with confidence.“I am sure she does, but not as much as I have towards you Dad,” Henna said and smiled.“Of course, that is exactly why you are my daughter” he replied and smiled too.“But what exactly are you trying to do by having Sophia attend my birthday party?” he inquired. “She has been married into the Garner family and has suddenly forgotten the exact reason why she went there in the first place,” Henna argued.“True, she seems to have forgotten….. I heard the Garner Industry would be joining the bidding competition for the new city hall” he said“That is what I heard too, if we still had our company, we might have struck a chance to join in the bidding too,” Henna said.

*BRAN’S POV* When we arrived home, I got out of the car in front of our main house while Pierre drove ahead to park the car and retire for the night. I suddenly became self-conscious of myself and didn’t want to upset Sophia with my tipsy state. I maintained composure and balance as I walked into the house and up the stairs, into the bedroom. I pulled off my suit and tie the moment I got into the room as I was feeling stuffy and hot. The only thought that crossed my mind was to head into the bathroom and have a cold shower.As I slid open the door to the bathroom, my eyes fell on Sophia, right behind the door and dressed in silky red nightwear, right above her knee, her neck, arms and legs uncovered, showing off her smooth and beautiful skin. Her hair was up in a ponytail and she looked at me with eyes that were equally surprised as mine. “Bran?” Sophia whispered, her eyes widened as she became conscious of me and herself.
