{Ciril’s POV}

The Dark One was here…

For some reason, I could sense him— sense the evil.

He wasn’t at the Palace yet but he was close. And we hadn’t made any preparations with the fighters for the war. Preparations like battle formations, strategy, et cetera.

We were slacking. This was my motivation to shift back to my normal form as I turned back around and faced the group. “We need to get ready.” I told them and then I started racing back to the Palace buildings.

“What’s going on?” I heard Clord call after me now, asking for everyone, but I didn’t respond to his question because I was focused on my strides and what quick battle plan I could come up with now that time had been stolen from us.

We needed to make structural preparations in the Palace that would aid our battle when the Ferals got here.

With these troubling thoughts in my mind, I kept running now and the group continued behind me, audibly expressing their confusion and uneasiness at my sudden switch of mood, but I sti

    {Ciril’s POV} I trembled away at once. I couldn’t believe my eyes…I was staring at the Alpha Queen and King and it was a sight too sudden and too odd to make sense. With me, the entire number of the army also reacted, as behind me, voices of distress and confusion started to grow while I just stared at these supposed Lycan dogs, wondering how this was possible.Gazing at the Alpha Queen, I was shaken. I had seen my mother kill her that day on the blood-soaked ground but now, even though I was staring at the rotten, decaying, and decomposed version of her face, she was still conscious. She was awake and staring at her brought back all the trauma she had put me through and I was angered all over again, but then this time, I didn’t feel like killing her. This time, I was irritated by her and just wanted to stop.. to stop seeing her.She freaked me out… but looking at the Alpha King did worse to me. Gazing upon his putrid and worm-eaten face, I was stricken with dread.. and then I w

  • CHOSEN   Chapter 188 ~ Light And Darkness Meet

    Chapter 187{Ciril’s POV} The atmosphere was properly heated now. I had the confirmation that it was the Dark One's presence that was causing such a heat wave because he was right here before me…I didn’t know how to react… or what to expect. Everywhere around was somewhat shady so I couldn’t really catch a proper glimpse of what this Dark One looked like.I could only see his form from where he was standing at a distance because of his red glowing eyes. It was as if, with his presence, the night grew darker. The Dark One was stationary now as he stared— most likely taking in our numbers and the sight of the Palace, so I used the moment to do the same. I drove my gaze from left to right now, roaming it across the stretch of his legions of Ferals. They were growling aggressively but they were also on the line, obediently positioned behind the Dark One— being made to do so by his powers. It was evident— all this was due to a conjuring or voodoo of some sort. I poured out a heavy

  • CHOSEN   Chapter 187 ~ Shadowed Figure

    {Ciril’s POV} The Dark One was here…And this time, I mean here. Like here here!I started to panic at once. I wasn’t supposed to be but I panicked. I was supposed to serve as the hope and comfort of the people but then I panicked. I couldn’t help it.I was staring at the same thing Feryt was staring at and I was frozen like she was for a moment… and then I started to back away as my fingers started to tremble.A shadowed figure with red glowing eyes…It was as if he was staring at me. I didn’t even know where he was standing on, but he was standing high enough to be visible over the Palace's unevenly crumbled walls, and this sight, with that gloominess of the night around us, was frightening.Plus, the heat wave Feryt had spoken of, I could feel it, and I could now understand why— the Dark One’s presence was what initiated it. It was clear and didn’t need an explanation of any sort. In my alarm, I continued to back away towards the Palace buildings. I needed to go and get the

  • CHOSEN   Chapter 185 ~ Sense Him

    {Ciril’s POV} I kissed Levi. I didn’t know if I truly wanted to or didn’t, but I had kissed him nonetheless.It was a fairly long and passionate kiss and of course, Levi kissed me back. I didn’t have any doubts on that aspect.I’ve always seen the lust in his eyes. Right from the very first day, I could tell what his true intentions were. Hence, I sort of gave him what he wanted now.I pulled away slowly from the kiss, and I turned to the side to realize that Landon wasn’t there anymore. Asshole!I turned back to Levi now to see him smiling. I immediately addressed the situation and his smile. “Oh don’t flatter yourself.” I told him as I walked away from him to the side— to the edge of the room where there was no wall bordering it. I gazed around the surroundings now and saw how people were settling in at random points around the Palace. I expected Levi’s voice after mine and I unsurprisingly heard it. “You kissed me.”“Yeah. Big deal. Get over it.” I told him. “We are in the m

  • CHOSEN   Chapter 184 ~ Interrupt

    {Ciril’s POV} I had somehow managed to turn the whole tense situation around and touch the hearts of these people. But then I had almost messed things up so now I was thankful to my mother and to Feryt who had talked me out of my rage, guiding me with their words. Because of their help, I had ended up not killing those two werewolves and not ruining our mission, and now, I had presented my proposition to them and they were welcoming it. They were willing to fight alongside me.— Some of them though. Some others were still Clords; acting like featherless chickens instead of manning up and fighting for their homes.Yes, ‘Clord’ is now a descriptive word for pussies. So with this, I saw some fit fighters not being involved since they were scared, but then, we were making up for this insufficiency by going to more Packs. And it felt like the more we went, the more the people responded. We had good fortune— this was my take, but then Anne had to go spiritual and say that it was the m
