Chapter 19 - Heat

The dried leaves made crunching sounds as Laureffaine walked to the place it all started.

DEAD GROOVE.

She wished she had listened to Xavier that night and never went to Dead Groove.

At the same time, she wished Xavier had defended her when she was framed. That way, she wouldn't have spent weeks with Lupus, changing the perception she had of him and possibly developing feelings for him.

She still couldn't believe how her once happy life had come to this. Her life was now totally dramatic.

"Relax Laure, after this, he can't come anywhere near you ever again", Xavier tried to assure her.

Laureffaine wanted to believe him, she really wanted to. But in these few months, she had gotten to know Lupus and she knew that the restraining order couldn't stop him from seeing her.

She just gave Xavier a tight smile that didn't even reach her eyes.

She entered Dead Groove and not even a single guard stopped her or Xavier and the rest of the crew.

As soon as they passed the entrance of Dead Groove
