Ava's POV

I watched Dravin stare calmly at me as I strolled out of the rows that are now on his left, since he was now standing on my dais and addressing the guests. My stride was calm, poised, and confident. Despite my size, I made sure I carried a visible grace and elegance with every step.

Regardless of my scar, my very presence exudes royalty.

I might have to thank Fiona, the head maid, and Lyanna for whipping me up into enough shape that I don't disgrace myself in public.

My blue eyes held confusion as I approached him, unsure that he was indeed calling for me.

"There you are," he said with a cold smile as he offered me a hand, which I cautiously took as I ascended the dais.

His eyes never left mine as I tried to discern his motives before he could say them out loud.

In response, all he did was stare at my figure in front of him as I reached the top of the dais.

My eyes had a question in them, but he wasn't giving me any time to indulge myself and ask them.
