Streams of Emotions

Edward was restless all through, when he heard what happened, he cursed the woman, that have come between his father and mother.

They used to be a happy couple, though he knows that his father is not perfect, but they have always worked things out.

Hearing his father's troubled voice, scared him.

Why is this woman's case different, he thought within himself as he could not really make any sense, out of what his father is saying.

He could hear siren where he is and all he could think of is that his father have been sent to the dog house, for being naughty.

" I don't understand anything you are saying,  so can you calm down, and tell me what the problem is?

He spoke softly to his father, thinking he would be able to solve the issue the same way he used to.

"Your mother...

It seem to be too hard for him to bring the words, out of his mouth.

"What happened to mother?

He asked, since he had heard already, that there is an ongoing fight, because of the waywardness of his father, but the way his father was sounding, he doesn't know, if the case is as simple, as he would have thought it to be.

"You mother had an accident and it is all my fault".

He added, before he would remind him.

Edward ended the call almost immediately.

He sat up on the bed, glared at his phone for a while, and then looked behind him, as if the answer to his questions are there.

He took his phone to call his mother, when his father's call, started coming in again.

He would have loved to ignore his call, but he took the call,  just to hear, what it is, he has to say again.

"My son!

He started, but Edward didn't give him the chance to start talking.

He took it from him immediately.

"I am not your son.

we have given you more than enough chance to change, and because of your stubbornness, look at what it has led us to.

But that is by the way, I am far away now, I am going to call Stanley since he is not so far, he might be able to come down, to understand really what is going on, but...

he paused.

His father also didn't say anything to interrupt him.

I will kill you, if anything, ever happens to my mother.

I will kill you, and that bitch".

He says, and ended the call, while he tried calling his brother.

"Hey Stan!

He tried to sound casual, for fear, of scaring him.

He is the last, and he is quite close with their mother.

But no matter how casual Edward tried to sound, Stan could already feel the tension, for his voice, didn't sound as cheerful, as it used to sound.

"Eddy, mum is not taking her calls, and you know I don't want to call Dad.

Can you tell me what is going on, for I have a feeling, mum isn't feeling well".

Just hearing him say that, scared Edward.

He didn't know what to say to him at first.

His first thought is to lie to him, but with all he just said, there is no point telling him lies.

He also understands the fact that he wouldn't want to call their father, because they have had issues many times, about how he behaves, and how it affects their mother.

Why are you quiet?

His question, brought him back to reality, that he shook his head, as if getting out of a trance.

"I am here brother, actually, that is why I called.

I wanted to know, if you could visit home soonest, because mum is in the hospital".

Just with that information, Stan, sat up, he looked scared, and worried.

"Why is she at the hospital?

He asked, with a shaky voice.

Edward doesn't know how to say this to him, but he knows, that he won't take it well, he might get on the very next flight to the Capricorn City of United States.

"She was involved in an accident".

"I know it is because of him right?

He asked.

referring to his father.

Their mother have fainted once before, when she walked in on their father, with two women, on their matrimonial bed.

She had wanted to leave him after she recovered from her shock, but some how, she ends up, going back to him.

"Yes, I guess it is same old story, of Daddy cheating.

You know I am far, I cannot come right away, and my programme is ending next month, but I promise to come home as soon as possible".

" I am going to kill him, I swear, I will kill him".

He swears, in anger, while leaving the call, unended, he started packing his things.

Edward could hear him pack his things, he knew, he should just end the call.

His father and brother are going to get it rough, when they meet, he is supposed to be there, but for the fact, that he cannot be there with them at that time, he depended on just the call, between them.

He called his father back immediately.

"Stanley is on his way home, you better not be around, when he gets there, I am sure, you know what is likely to happen between you too".

It was an alert for him, and he knows, exactly, what he is supposed to do.

He called his guards, to come and stand beside him, as he is going to keep guard at the hospital.

In as much as his heart keep beating him, for cheating on his wife, for the uptenth time, he still could not think less of Megan.

She has mermerized his thought, and to think, that she is carrying his child, makes him feel a crazy bond towards her.

He might be doing something crazy, but the way he is feeling at the time, he knows, that it isn't just sex, that is drawing him close.
