CHAPTER 4

Two women could be seen seated on a lavish imported couch.

One of them was Susannah, while the other was a lady dressed elegantly and fashionably.

Beautiful stoned shining heels were displayed on the table. Judging by the stone diamonds, one could easily tell that that piece of accessory was crafted using the highest quality materials. A diamond heel like that was worth more than a million.

Natasha had deliberately brought that item to pay her respects to her future mother-in-law.

Susannah wore a friendly smile as she mutters, “You’re so thoughtful, Natasha. I wasn't expecting such an expensive gift from you.”

She sized up Natasha admiringly. Natasha is the daughter of Luckman a highly capable businessman and the face of the socialites in this city. Natasha's career has recently thrived, and she has successfully upgraded her status to an A-list celebrity Model. She’s beautiful and equipped with great etiquette. All of her excellent traits fulfilled the standards of the daughter-in-law Susannah had in mind.

In contrast, Susannah had been displeased her only son isn't married yet and with his sickness, she became overly exhausted.

“Mrs. Zachary, did you say Tristan is having an allergy to women?” Natasha asked surprised upon learning about it. She has waited so many years for this moment.

Susannah flashed a meaningful grin, patted the back of Natasha’s hand, and whispered, “You don't have to worry dear, he has received treatment overseas so I'm sure he's cured of his illness. Tristan doesn’t have any issues getting intimate with a woman now.”

“That’s good news!”Natasha's beamed as her hope had been rekindled.

Natasha couldn’t help but feel the gods were helping her.

Susannah could tell the thoughts going through Natasha’s mind, so she suggested, “Why don’t we head to Tristan's home, so we could all have a meal together? It’s been so long since you two last met. You can seize this opportunity to catch up and improve your relationship with him.”

“Sure, Ma'am!” Natasha grinned from ear to ear.

Her heart fluttered when she imagined reuniting with the exceptionally handsome Tristan.

There was a knock on the door, the housekeeper quickly opened the door when she noticed it was Mrs Susannah.

"Good day Ma'am" The housekeeper greeted.

"Where's my son?"She asked sassily ignoring her greetings.

He's in the main living room, Ma'am." The housekeeper replied with her head bow

Susannah and Natasha entered the living room, Susannah was extremely shocked to see her son clinging to an unknown Lady. She couldn't hold in her anger as she shouted angrily, "Who's this, Tristan? Mrs. Susannah yelled at her son.

"Mom I don't get why you came to my house ranting.

Mrs. Susannah was Gobsmacked.

“who's this shameless woman? Why are you here?”

Jasmine was immediately alarmed. She sluggishly got up from the couch as she shifted away from Tristan's embrace.

“Why am I here? Ma'am, I think you should ask your son that question.” Jasmine uttered politely as she tried exiting the house but Tristan held her back immediately.

"What do you think you're doing, Tristan? How can you mingle with this low-life bi*ch?" Mrs. Susannah yelled furiously. She just can't believe her son would stoop so low as to have something with a poor, dirty girl.

"Mom, I won't have you come to my house and rain insult on my visitor! what gave you that right to feel you'd come here and rant?" Tristan growled as he stared daggers at his surprised Mom.

Mrs. Susannah couldn't come to terms with the fact that her son would speak to her in that manner just for a lady.

"Tristan! How dare you? How dare you speak to me in this manner all for this cheap girl? I'm your mother and I deserve some respect!" Susannah yelled pissed off.

"Yes! you deserve some respect, same implies to My visitor. You have no right to lay abuses on her when you know nothing about her!" Tristan yelled his voice sounding so intimidating.

Natasha watched the mother and son exchanging words as she smiled inwardly. It was a great sight to behold and she didn't plan to intervene. At least, Her soon to be mother in law should help her fight into her son's heart.

"What's there to know about her, Tristan? Can't you see her cheap clothes and disarranged hair? Isn't it obvious she's a poor gold digger? She's only here to reap off your money and I won't let her succeed! I'm your mother and you have to listen to me!" Mrs. Susannah said in disgust.

Jasmine felt her heart crumbling at Mrs. Susannah's words. Fighting back her tears, She muttered " I'm not a gold digger and would never be one ma'am. Me being here in the first place because I was brought here by your son against my wish. I may look poor to you, but I won't depend on someone else's money. I would love you to take back your words!" Jasmine said in a frightening tone.

Mrs. Susannah chuckled as she found Jasmine's words quite ridiculous.

"The nerves! How dare you ask me to take back my words? Who the hell do you think you are to talk to me in such a manner?" Mrs. Susannah growled and landed a resounding slap on her fair cheap.

"Susannah!" Tristan roared in anger as he called his mom by her first name with his veins pumped out of his skin.

Mrs. Susannah was immediately frightened by her son's roar.

"How dare you lay your fingers on her, Susannah? If this should happen next time, I'll forget you're my mother! Please see yourselves out." Tristan gritted out.

Natasha saw this as an opportunity to speak out. She felt Tristan doesn't recognize her anymore due to the way he had ignored her presence.

"Tristan, I know it's been a long we last saw each other, It's me Natasha and I think you don't have to treat your Mom in such a manner all for a lady," Natasha uttered acting all nice.

"This is my family's issue and I'll advise a stranger not to poke their nose," Tristan said with a scoff. "You both should Get out of my house this minute" Tristan growled trying hard to conceal his anger.

Without saying another word, Mrs. Susannah glared hard at Jasmine before storming out with Natasha behind her.
