I stepped into the clerkship room with my notebook tucked under my arm, but my stride froze instantly at the sight I knew all too well. Ronny, with his smug smile, stood far too close to a female clerkship student who looked visibly uncomfortable. One of his hands was pointing at something on her laptop screen, while the other brazenly touched her arm. His laugh was soft, dripping with satisfaction.

My heart pounded. Memories of Kayla’s betrayal, her pale face in the garden, and Ronny’s mocking words all piled up into a thick, searing anger.

Without thinking twice, I strode forward. “Ronny.”

Every head in the room turned. The girl he was harassing shrank back, embarrassed, her gaze lowered. Ronny turned, his lips curving into that easy smile he always wore.

“Oh, Sienna. Busy, are we? What is it? Something you want?”

I drew in a deep breath, lowering my head until our eyes were level. “Kayla is pregnant, and you need to take responsibility.”

The whole room seemed to hold its breath.

  • CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON   Chapter 82

I opened my eyes slowly, my eyelids heavy. My breath came in shallow gasps, my head was ringing, and my body felt cold. As my consciousness returned, my heart began to pound wildly. My clothes were gone. My bare skin brushed against damp air, chilled and raw from the bite of iron chains coiled around my wrists and ankles. I tried to move, but every tug only produced the harsh scrape of metal grinding against metal. My panicked gaze darted around the room. It was small, dim, with faded, damp walls and a flickering neon light hanging from the ceiling. The air reeked of chemicals. And standing in front of me was Ronny. The triumphant smile on his face cut deeper than the chains that bound me. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction, the look of a predator who had finally trapped its prey.“You’re finally awake,” he said quietly.“What did you do to me, Ronny? Let me go!” I shouted.Beside him stood another figure that made my chest tighten even more. Kayla. She stood there, her belly round wi

The music and lights in the ballroom still shimmered around me when my phone suddenly buzzed inside my bag. I set down my glass of mineral water and quickly reached for it. The screen lit up with a name.Kayla.My brows furrowed instantly. She rarely called at night—especially not with a panicked voice the moment I answered.“Sienna! Help me! I’m bleeding!”“What? Kayla, calm down! Where are you?”“At home. I’m alone. I’m scared something’s wrong with the baby.”I shot to my feet and grabbed my bag. “Stay put. I’m coming. Don’t move too much. Lie down and elevate your legs, alright?”“O-okay…”Without another thought, I ran out of the ballroom, ignoring the curious stares from other guests. The only thing in my head was Kayla and her baby. Even though part of me hesitated, my instincts as both a doctor and a friend wouldn’t let me stay still.I flagged down a taxi and gave the driver her address. The car sped through the city lights, and all the while I bit my lip, trying to calm my n

The ballroom was still alive with laughter and the clinking of glasses, yet the sound of approaching footsteps from the bar made me instinctively turn my head. A familiar scent—masculine, laced with cedar and bourbon hit me before I even saw the face emerging through the crowd.Gregor.He walked with his usual steady gait, posture straight and confident. His black suit was immaculate, his sharp eyes cutting through the noise and light. A faint smile tugged at his lips, though his gaze remained cold, deliberate, and calculating. In his hand was a glass of amber liquid.“Luna Sienna, you’re alone tonight?”“Yes. Liam’s busy. There’s an internal pack meeting he couldn’t leave.”Gregor raised an eyebrow. He lifted his glass slowly, studying the drink before taking a small sip. “Busy, hm? That’s odd. As far as I remember, Liam never misses Ronny’s birthday parties. He’s usually seated right in front, in the place of honor. Strange, isn’t it? That he’s not here this year.”His tone carried

The evening sky was painted in shades of orange when I arrived at the apartment door. My neck still felt stiff after a long, tense day at the hospital. As soon as I opened the door, the aroma of home-cooked food greeted me. In the dining room, Liam was setting two plates of rice and warm chicken soup. He turned when he heard my footsteps, a small smile curving his lips.“You’re home later than usual. I almost thought you got pulled into an extra shift.”I set my bag on the chair and exhaled deeply. “Honestly, I almost didn’t make it home early either.”He raised an eyebrow. “What happened?”I gave a faint smile and sat down at the table. “I ran into someone today.”Liam took the seat across from me, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. “Who?”“Kayla.”“Kayla?”I nodded slowly. “Yes. I met her by chance. She’s heavily pregnant now.”Liam leaned back, eyes fixed on me not angry, but wary. “And then?”I told him everything how I saw Kayla in front of a flower shop, how pale she looked before

It had been several days since Ronny handed me that birthday invitation. At first, I was certain I wouldn’t go. I thought there was no reason to attend a party thrown by someone who had left behind so many wounds. But gossip spreads fast in a hospital.Every time I passed the nurse station or sat in the cafeteria, I’d hear the same murmurs.“They say everyone in the hospital’s invited.”“Rumor has it Dr. Jonathan’s going too.”“Wow, Ronny’s really pulling out all the stops. The party’s at the city center hotel ballroom.”I could only pretend not to care, but deep down, a small unease began to grow.In the medical world, good relationships are sometimes more valuable than grades. If I didn’t go, it might stir new rumors and even if I did go, I had no intention of having fun. I just wanted to show up briefly, offer a polite greeting, then leave. But one thing I knew for sure, Liam would never approve. The image of his serious face every time Ronny’s name came up was warning enough. If I

Now we’re on the hotel balcony, and I’m on a video call with my mother. Her life is already well taken care of by Liam, so I don’t have to worry about her anymore. That video call left a warm smile on my face, but the mood quickly shifted when a somber aura suddenly came from Liam. He fell silent, staring blankly at the shimmering city lights stretching as far as the eye could see.“I miss my mom. It’s been a long time, but sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday.”I know his mother passed away from a chronic illness that still has no cure to this day. Without saying a word, I rose from my chair and approached him from the side. His body felt tense. Gently, I lifted my hand and brushed his cold cheek.“Baby, I’m here. Now and always, you have me.”I leaned closer, softly pressing my lips against his. At first, he stayed still, simply receiving the comfort I offered. But slowly, his body began to respond. His once-limp arms moved, wrapping around my waist and pulling me closer.H
