Vanessa pulled Kavinsky up when she saw that he was not intending to stand up, away from this lowly-looking girl.
"She can do it herself", Vanessa said with a shrug and rolled her eyes.
Kaylee got up and Stiles asked from beside her if she was okay.
"I am fine", she replied before an announcement was made all over the school speakers.
"Kaylee Blaine, please report to the principal's office. Kaylee Blaine, please report to the principal's office", the announcement was made twice before it stopped and only the echo from the announcement lingered against the school walls.
"Let me accompany you there", Stiles offered calmly
"No, it's fine. I can go myself", she said and turned to leave.
She soon arrived at the Principal's door and knocked three times on it.
"Come in", Mr. Bull, the principal's voice was heard from the other side of the door.
Kaylee pressed down the door handle and walked in. She met Mr. Bull sitting behind his table having coffee while he is checking some paper he held in his left hand
He looked up when he heard the door close and saw who had walked in.
"You called for me", Kaylee said, not moving away from the door.
"Yes. Come in, please", he answered her.
She moved further inside and stood in front of his desk.
He stretched a paper at her and asked her to tick where necessary.
"I forgot to notify you about the extra curriculum we offer in the school. We have soccer and basketball practices for boys. Also, there are basketball and swimming practices for girls as well. You should join one out of the two", he encouraged her
Kaylee remembered what had once happened to her when she tried going inside the water when she was small and she easily ticked 'interested' in basketball.
Mr. Bull collected the paper from her and nodded his head to her in approval. Kaylee turned back and was about to leave when she remembered something.
"Sir", she called out to him and he raised his head back to look at her.
"I need a locker", she said when she was sure he was already paying attention.
"Yes, that's right! I had forgotten all about that. You can meet the secretary for that", he said and Kaylee thanked him before walking out.
By the time she got out, the hallway was already empty.
She looked around for the secretary's office and soon found it. It was not that far from the Principal's office. She knocked on the door.
"Come in", she heard that reply again. She was hearing a lot of coming in today.
She heaved a huge sigh before pressing down on the door handle.
She walked in and realized that it was the same woman who had shown her Dad and her the principal's office that is secretary.
"Good morning ma", she greeted politely
"Good morning, my dear", Mrs. Taylor answered with a smile.
"What can I do for you?", she quickly added
"I am new here. Just resumed today and I don't have a locker. The principal said I should meet you to get one", Kaylee explained politely.
"Ohh", the secretary said and looked at Kaylee as if she was contemplating something
"Let's get you one now then", Mrs. Taylor said and got up from her seat.
Kaylee followed her outside, towards the hallway where all the lockers were.
Mrs. Taylor stopped when she reached a certain one and opened it.
"How do you like this?", Mrs. Taylor asked
Kaylee looked inside and was quite unsatisfied with what she was seeing. The locker was a little bit dirty and it had a female nude pic stuck to the inside of the locker's door.
"It's good", she said with a forced smile, not wanting to stress the secretary. She did not want to go about her first day with someone disliking her. Not even a student but the secretary of the school? No no no.
"I will just get it to register to your name. You should put the password you want on it", Mrs. Taylor said before tapping Kaylee's arm and leaving.
Kaylee walked around the school in search of the janitor and soon found him. She told him about her locker and he promised to clean it for her.
She thanked him and took out the timetable the principal had given her earlier before she left his room.
She was supposed to be in Chemistry class right now. She walked around and peeped in every classroom. She found the Chemistry class and she opened the door slowly. The door however betrayed her and made a loud creaking noise.
She opened it quickly since there was no use in opening it slowly anymore. All the students inside the class turned to face her including the teacher. Gosh! She hated this type of scenario happening to her.
"How may I help you?", the teacher asked sharply.
The teacher is a woman in her late fifties. Her face is wrinkled due to her old age and her posture said it all. She is not a nice person.
She is dressed in a loose grey top and a black long skirt. She is blonde and her hair is packed in a bun.
"Do you belong in this class?", she asked sharply again but louder before Kaylee could answer the first one.
"Yes ma'am, I-", Kaylee tried to answer but was cut short again.
"Are you new here?", the chemistry teacher asked again and Kaylee heaved a deep sigh
"Yes ma'am", Kaylee answered politely.
"Then I must warn you, I do not tolerate students that are not punctual in my class. I would have sent you out but only because you are new here, I would allow you to sit for the remaining class", the Chemistry teacher said and she continued teaching immediately.
Kaylee looked around for a seat and she found one at the back. She sat there and tried to listen during the remaining period before the class ended.

The school was finally over and Kaylee did not waste time packing her books and left the last class.
She met the janitor just before she exited the building and he asked if she liked her locker now.
Kaylee remembered how clean she had met it after class and was overjoyed at the neatness. Even though the janitor did not remove the nude sticker that was attached to the door of the locker.
"Yes, I like it now, Thanks Joe", she said
"How do you know my name?", he asked in surprise
"Your name tag", she replied as she pointed to the left side of his chest
"Oh, I forgot about that", he said and they both laughed before Kaylee walked out of the school hallway.
Kaylee got out and she met her father's car already parked in the car park of the school.
She walked towards it and opened the passenger door and hopped in.
"How was your first day?", Laura asked loudly from the back seat and Kaylee turned to look at her.
"It was fine, yours?", Kaylee asked back
"I made a new friend", Laura said, grinning from ear to ear.
"That's... good", Kaylee replied and buckled her seat belt.
Mr. Blaine started the engine and drove out of Seattle high school's car park and later out of the whole compound of the school.
They got home and everyone retired to their various rooms.
2nd of June, Monday evening,
The Blaines were having dinner and Mr. Blaine spoke out during the meal.
"I got the job. They saw my CV and my qualifications and they asked me to resume work on Wednesday", he said with a smile
"Congratulations Dad!", Laura shouted all of a sudden and they all laughed
"It's good to hear that, Dad", Kaylee added and continued with her meal.
"You would have to take the bus home starting from Wednesday, dear. I am very sorry. The closing hour of the hospital is very later than I expected. Or would you prefer to wait till I finish at work?", Mr. Blaine asked with a dull face, facing Kaylee
"No, it's fine Dad. I will just start taking the bus home", Kaylee replied calmly and Mr. Blaine nodded.
They continued with their meal. When they were done, Laura and Mr. Blaine sat in the sitting room watching some TV show and Kaylee rather preferred to go to her room.
She sat behind her work desk and brought out her laptop. She surfed through the internet for some time before going to bed.
She was very tired from today's stress to the extent that immediately her head hit the pillow, she fell into a deep sleep.
Kavinsky on the other side stood up from his bed when he couldn't sleep. He walked to the window and looked out, hoping to see only one person.
He looked at her wide open window but all he could see was the curtain which was blowing away due to the wind.
He walked back to the bed and lay down. He closed his eyes in an attempt to sleep. But immediately he closed his eyes, he remembered her deep brown eyes which stared at him in the hallway. He groaned in frustration and turned around noisily on the bed. He soon found sleep some minutes after though.

June 3, Tuesday afternoon,
Kaylee got a basketball uniform that fits and she wore it before heading toward the indoor basketball pitch.
She had made sure to check around for the basketball pitch first so she won't be late for it and be picked on by some teacher like the chemistry teacher from the previous day.
While she was checking around, she saw the swimming pool which fascinated her. Behind the school was the school practice track. There is a soccer field on one side and also there is a running track.
Students have to exercise on the running tracks every Wednesday. She did not want to do that.
...
Kaylee finally arrived at the indoor basketball room and she entered. A group of girls is practicing but there is not a trace of any teacher or coach.
A girl called attention to Vanessa, that she should look behind her and Vanessa turned to look at who had entered.
Kaylee walked further inside and Vanessa recognized her immediately.
It is the newbie! She remembered how Kavinsky had looked at Kaylee in the hallway yesterday and she looked at Kaylee in disgust.
"Hi", Kaylee greeted when she got to where they were Vanessa snapped her fingers together and the other girls appeared behind her.
'Guess she is the captain', Kaylee thought and rolled her eyes at the way Vanessa was showcasing her power.
"It's the newbie", Vanessa said loudly with a smirk
'What's wrong with this girl?', Kaylee thought in confusion.
"Yeah, I am indeed new here", Kaylee replied anyways and folded her hands against her chest
"Let's see what you've got them, newbie", Vanessa said prolonging the 'newbie' and folding her arms too.
A girl from behind Vanessa walked to the front and placed a basketball into Kaylee's hands.
"Oh, no no no no. I can't play, I am here to learn. I am doing this for the first time", Kaylee replied and made sure to put pressure on her last statement
"What are you doing here then?", Vanessa asked, looking at her in disgust
Kaylee was running out of patience and all calmness.
'Who does this girl think she is?', Kaylee thought
"I think I told you earlier", she said looking down and moving forward till she was very close to Vanessa. She looked up dramatically and talked again.
"I. Am. Just. Here. To. Learn", she said looking straight into Vanessa's eyes, just to tempt her.
"Well, you can't be in the team if you won't show us what you've got, girl", Vanessa replied gritting her teeth together and finishing it with a smirk.
"Fine then", Kaylee replied and moved back. She bounced the ball on the floor and went towards the basketball hoop.
She jumped up and shoot it in. It went in after rounding the rim of the net. Vanessa approached the ball and picked it up.
She threw it and it went inside the hoop easily. She picked up the ball back and threw it towards Kaylee. Kaylee caught it and walked towards the hoop. She jumped up again oblivious to Vanessa's movement.
Vanessa made sure to let Kaylee jump before she carried out her plan. She jumped along with Kaylee and pushed her with all her force.
Kaylee fell to the ground, landing hard on her butt and Vanessa took the ball from her.
She threw it into the hoop with one hand from their position and bent down to Kaylee's level.
"Oops, I can not possibly disagree... You are here to learn", Vanessa said with a smirk and the other girls laughed at Kaylee. Vanessa stood up and walked out with the other girls.
A girl approached Kaylee and stretched her hand toward her. Kaylee looked at it before accepting it and stood up.
"You should ignore Vanessa. That's just how she is", the girl said.
"Vanessa", Kaylee repeated the name slowly and stared at the way Vanessa had left in anger.
'You do not expect me to leave you just like that, do you? I will have my revenge, Kaylee thought and smirked evilly
"Thanks", Kaylee said to the girl as they walked out together
"Mr. Matthew is yet to resume school, that's why", the girl said again and Kaylee looked at her in confusion. Mr. Matthew?
"The coach", the girl said and Kaylee nodded to show that she understood what this girl was saying.
"I am Anna by the way. Anna Peterson", the girl introduced herself.
"Kaylee Blaine", Kaylee replied shortly and they walked out of the basketball courtroom together.
. . .
A few minutes later, it was lunchtime
Everyone moved to the cafeteria including Kaylee. She collected her tray from the server and was about to go to an empty table, just at one side of the cafeteria to eat.
The previous day, Kaylee did not bother going to the cafeteria at all. She just went to one side of the school and ate the cookies she and Laura had made on Sunday.
But today, she decided to go to the cafeteria. She wasn't going to let go of what Vanessa did to her easily.
Just before she walked to the empty table, she saw Anna waving her hand at her.
She hesitated before walking towards Anna. Anyways, in one way, Anna could be of importance to her.
"Hi", she greeted nervously before sitting down.
"Hi", Anna replied with a smile.
They started eating and when Vanessa entered the cafeteria, she made sure everyone knew she had arrived.
"Hey guys!", she shouted all of a sudden and walked in with her close friend, Zoe following closely behind her.
She walked stylishly till she got to her destination. Everyone faced their food back when they saw her sit down, except one person.
Kaylee watched Vanessa sit down and noticed the person she sat down with.
'That boy?'
Kaylee saw Vanessa sit with the guy who she had hit with the door. The guy she saw staring at her that night. The guy hit her and let her textbooks fall to the ground. The blue-colored eye guy!
"Who exactly is this Vanessa?", Kaylee asked immediately as she turned her head back to face Anna.

Hey guys, I am really sorry about this. I can't complete this story as I intended to but I would make a summary of it. I am sorry, please bear with me. ... SUMMARY... It has been a week since Kaylee and Kavinsky had stopped talking to each other. Even though they went to school together, things were still pretty weird between them. The next Saturday after Kaylee's game, Stiles visited Kaylee and asked her to go somewhere with him. He told her he had something very important to show and also tell her. Kaylee got into his car when she thought of how they had been friends once but when she found herself unconscious in a junkyard, she understood what had happened. Stiles had helped Vanessa to kidnap her. Kaylee was locked in a wrecked bus and Vanessa lit a fire around her, making Kaylee go into a traumatic state. The memories never stopped cause she was still seeing the fire in front of her. Vanessa, Zoe, and Stiles left her there to face her fears. Zoe called Kavinsky about it
SATURDAY EVENING, Kaylee walked past her father and Laura in the sitting room when she got home. They cheered her up concerning the game and she smiled at them widely as she walked out of the sitting room and up the stairs. She sat on her bed with a sigh and the memories from a few minutes ago played back in her head. She gripped her hair tightly when she remembered how Kavinsky had looked at her. "But we are not dating yet", she groaned before lying on the bed with a frown. 'Or was it just right to kiss him without being official?', she thought again with a frown. She groaned when she could not think straight and walked to the bathroom. She just took a long shower before walking out and dressed up. MONDAY MORNING Kaylee walked towards Kavinsky's front porch as usual and got into the car. He was already waiting there anyways. "Hey", he greeted in his thick, alluring tone and Kaylee turned to look at him. Instead of his usual smiling face, his face just looks dull and stiff.
Kaylee walked into her front porch after she got down from Stiles's car. She was about to open the front door to her house when she saw Kavinsky standing there, beside her house. She jumped at first before holding her hand against her chest and breathing out deeply. "What the heck, Kavinsky?", she asked immediately as she opened her eyes before walking towards him. She noticed the frown on his face when she got in front of him and she moderated her tone a little. "What are you doing here?", she asked but Kavinsky just kept staring at her with that frown stuck on his face. "You were with Stiles?", he suddenly asked and Kaylee rolled her eyes at him. "Yeah, he brought me home", she said nonchalantly. "Wow, how nice of him", Kavinsky replied sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. "So, what's up anyways?", Kaylee changed the matter as she shifted her weight on her legs. "You did not go out with Anna any longer?", Kavinsky finally eased the cold look he had on his face before. "Y
Vanessa groaned as she made her way inside the school. She could not believe she had left her phone on the chair before going to speak with that Bianca girl and Zoe did not even pick it up for her. She walked quickly with a frown and when she got to the basketball court, her legs went slow. The door was slightly open, so Vanessa could see the two young girls sitting on the bench inside, just beside the basketball court where players who did not play had sat. She scoffed and was about to barge in when her eyes glanced at Kaylee again and she realized what was happening. Kaylee was crying. Vanessa was sure she had just seen a tear fall from her eyes right now. Vanessa quickly took a step back and relied on her listening sense only. She could not risk them seeing her and she had to know what was happening. It could be her perfect comeback at Kaylee. But what was wrong? Did Kavinsky dump Kaylee? Did Kavinsky break Kaylee's heart? Oh, that would be great! ... Anna panicked when she
Kavinsky, Anna, Harry, Mr. Blaine, and Laura walked toward Kaylee with smiles and looks of pride on their faces. "Hey look! It's the star of today's game", Harry called out with a grin as they moved closer and Kaylee could not help but laugh. She met them halfway and said with a blush. "Stop teasing me", she said with a helpless pout and Harry chuckled. "You were really good while playing, honey", Mr. Blaine said with so much pride laced in his voice and Kaylee smiled. His daughter was cooking back to life little by little after all. "Thanks, Dad", she said softly, and soon when they had all taken turns teasing and praising Kaylee, Mr. Blaine left the hall with Laura. Kaylee turned back towards the trio and her eyes landed on Kavinsky. He had helped her so much in getting better at basketball. The thought of how he had helped her so much brought tears to her eyes, joyful tears. "Thank you", she said with misty eyes and he shrugged at her words. "Do not mention", he finally sa
Kaylee smiled. She had never been a part of something so huge and sportive. It felt really good. They all moved their hands away at once and the five players walked to the court. They wore a top and free skirt with a mixture of yellow and blue colors. Their opponent from Winston high wore red and blue instead. At the National Basketball Association (NBA), they play basketball in four quarters for 12 minutes each. Both schools have decided to play in only two quarters instead of 12 minutes as well which means in almost thirty minutes, the game would be over. The announcer told both teams to move to the court and they did. The game commenced and the ball was passed to the opponent's team. Seattle high players tried to get the ball from them but failed. One of Winston's high players managed to get to the other side of the court and jumped up, throwing the ball in the hoop and they got three points instantly. They gave themselves high fives and the game continued. They tried pass
