They went back to her cottage after the heated make out session. She didn’t allow it to escalate because there was too much to be discussed and still a lot of pain to deal with. They shouldn’t give in to the pleasures of the flesh, at least not more than they already had, before they sat down to talk.“Nate, I will explain everything. The next day began as Nate wished their last time had been. He patted the bed by his side and felt a tiny warm body breathing steadily. He pulled her closer, feeling her back against his chest. She stirred besides him and her eyes fluttered open, searching for his own. A content smile made its way to her face. “Morning, Nate” she said yawning, but then turned back again, closed her eyes, and adjusted her hair so he could fit into the crook of her neck. He wouldn’t go back to sleep but didn’t mind holding her close while placing feather kisses on her exposed neck while she stalled to get up.

Nate went to his hut with a throbbing headache. The flawless fantasy he had created of his life was shattered and he couldn’t even blame anyone. He knew Bree was right, at least to a certain extent.
