Callan's POV

Anais told me to find Paenoe's office but I had no clue where that was. I'd seen the map her team made but I couldn't spot any buildings they described which is why I just aimlessly ran around for hours.

I was running down an avenue when a hybrid jumped on me from my left. It took me a minute to finish her off. I was annoyed, these creatures kept me from my search for my mate.

Once I had finished the hybrid that attacked me, I changed into my human form to catch my breath. I looked around but everything was still strange to me.

I ran down the avenue in my human form, breathing heavily, covered with blood and sweat. Where was she??

But then her scent hit me all of a sudden. A wave of relief washed over me like pouring rain and without wasting another moment I ran towards it. I turned right from the avenue, expecting to find my battered mate from her fight with Kajokh but the scene in front of me rendered me motionless.
