Chapter 42: Strange Behavior

As expected, she started taking the position of Executive Assistant that Monday. A lot of her co-employees got surprised of course. Some of them literally raised their brows and some of them teased and congratulated her after hearing the news. She can't blame others to talk about her since she was just a newbie and then suddenly got promoted to a higher position without proving something or achieving anything. She admits that a lot of employees who have proven themselves better are more deserving than her. But since her father and Cedrick Miguel had made the decision, she never tried to oppose it. There was this one instance when she accidentally heard Abigail, one of her co-analyst, and another girl she never recognized the voice was talking about her at the girl's CR one morning.
