Six months had passed since Kenny went missing. Everyone including Kenny's mother thought he was gone for good, but his grandfather still believed that he was alive. He never gave up hope, not for a single day. He kept on searching still holding onto the hope that Kenny would come back one day.

Sophia had visited him that afternoon to see how he was doing. The relationship between her and the old man had grown so close for a few couple of months. They were both seated in the living room of the old mansion.

Sophia sat close to Kenny’s grandfather, gently rubbing her round belly. Her face looked peaceful like she was enjoying life. The old man looked at her with admiration, and he was shot that at least she was talking.

The old man looked at her and smiled warmly. “How far along are you now, Sophia?”

“I’m almost seven months,” she replied with a soft voice.

His eyes lit up with joy. “Seven months already? Time really flies. I still can’t believe I’m going to be a great-grandfather.”
