Chapter 3

Rose P.O.V

In the morning, I did my morning routine and went downstairs. I saw my mom had already left for her work. She is a job worker.

I took a bus and left for my university. When I reached there, I sent a message to Alice.

 When I went to my locker to get my books, I saw Arvan was coming there.

I was very nervous. But he didn't give me a single glance. He almost passed by my side when I called him, "Arvan."

 He turned to me, gritted his teeth, and growled, 

 "ALPHA ARVAN"

 I was startled and said, " I-I'm sorry, Alpha Arvan."

 He raised an eyebrow and asked, 

 "Do I know you?" 

 "Y-you called my mom yesterday and asked about me." I said nervously.

 He was looking into my eyes and said, "First of all, I'm the head Alpha of this pack, so I don't need to explain anything to anyone."

 "But it was my i-infor-" He stopped me before I finished.

 "Shut the fuck up! First, learn how to talk properly. And one more thing, stay away from me, I don't have time for strangers like you." He said and tightened his jaw.

I was so shocked I couldn't even speak more.

 He glanced at me from head to toe, he looked disgusted with my looks.

I lowered my head when he left.

Mom told me not to offend him. It was all my fault. I didn't know why I went to talk with him. I just didn't know why. Did I look bad? Why did he tell me to stay away from him? Mom told me that too.

"Rossy, what are you doing?" Alice got closer and asked.

 "Nothing, let's go to our class." I replied.

 "I saw you with Alpha. What happened?" She asked suspiciously.

 "Nothing Alice. I'll tell you after our classes." I said.

 "Ok." She replied.

During our break time, we went to the cafeteria.

 We sat in our usual seats and started to eat. I was looking around when my eyes fell on the table where Arvan sat.

His friends were handsome too. But he was extraordinary. I stopped looking at him. When I was about to turn I saw a girl with a pretty face. She wore a black mini dress with smokey makeup. She looked hot but kinda slutty for this place.

She walked to the table of boys. She sat beside Alpha Arvan like they had known each other for years.

"She is Lina, the Queenka of our university. She and Alpha Arvan are very close. Lina was the Blue moon pack's head Alpha's mate." Alice explained.

"Was?" I was confused.

"Yes, she rejected him last year for Arvan. She is an Alpha woman. Everyone here assumes that she is Alpha Arvan’s mate. But why doesn't he mark her? Has he already found his fated mate? Because without rejection it's not possible to mark another and rejecting Luna is forbidden in our pack, so he can't reject his mate either." She said.

"But how could Lina reject her mate? Isn't it prohibited?" I asked.

"That's only in our pack, darling. Because we have a history of that. Our pack is the strongest pack in werewolves' history." She replied.

" Oh, I see." I said

 "Would you like to know about the history?" She asked.

 "Why would I like to know? It's not like I'll become the Luna someday." I laughed jokingly.

 It sounded funny too.

After University, I went home. As usual, my day had passed like other days.

I promised myself,

"I will stay away from him. Because he and my mom both want that."

"What about us? What we want doesn't matter at all?" My wolf asked.

"Please stop talking about him, we will soon find our mate. Beta or Theta. Maybe Delta, he will love us. We should wait for him, right?" I asked back.

 " Of course. Now let's go for a run, it's been a long time." She requested.

 "Ok, let's go." I accepted and went for a run to set my wolf free.

   It had been two weeks,

For two weeks, I had been feeling strange. I always felt Alpha Arvan's smell. My eyes always followed him whenever he was around.

He never looked at me. He was always busy with his girlfriend.

 Yes, girlfriend. Lina was now Arvan's girlfriend and our soon-to-be Luna.

I always thought that my mate would be my lover, my protector and the love of my life.

But I never thought about falling for anyone else who could not be my mate, not even in my imagination.
