Growing suspicions

Noya's pov

"I'm glad you're now feeling better. You look a lot better." Drax offered me a wide grin as he sat beside me at our usual meeting point.

"Thank you so much." I returned the smile while knitting my purse.

Since the incident, the head maid hadn't given me any chores to do for days, and although I wondered why I knew Nik had something to do with it. That was the only way the woman would let me rest.

All I did was eat, sleep, and knit while meeting Drax at the labyrinth amongst many other things because I knew that soon I would return to my usual status - a slave.

The evening sun was just starting to set in the sky, the first streaks of dark pink streaking across the sky as it descended below a distant horizon. I stretched languidly and stifled a yawn

"The Alpha's guard is walking in our direction." Drax whispered.

I turned to see him approaching us

"The Alpha sent for you." The guard said.

My lips rounded in an oh as I stood up.

"I'll be right back, Drax."
