We all looked at him concerned. What did he have to tell us that made him so quiet?
"What is it, dad?" Nathan asked him.
Damen blew out a breath, "years ago when you were just a kid your mom had a...mental illness"
"What?" Nate looked shocked. I on the other hand was speechless.
"How?" Nate asked earnestly "why did I not know about this?"
"You were just a kid at the time and your mother didn't want you to think differently of her"
