Lucky's POV

"MOMMY!"

My heart ached because of too much beating when I finally hugged my daughter. I was kneeling before her and was crying nonstop in my arms. Beside us was Damien, also kneeling and caressing my back.

I looked up and saw our parents watching us, crying. My vision was blurry but I could clearly see their faces filled with happiness and relief.

"Sweetheart, mommy needs to rest. Let's go upstairs," Damien softly said as he caressed Darya's hair.

I looked at him. "Your wound…"

He smiled and nodded. "I'll get this treated properly later. Let's go upstairs so you can rest."

I nodded and held Darya's hand. My mom hugged me and Damien's mom kissed my cheek as she sobbed.

It's almost morning and I feel all my strength leaving my body. My eyes were closing on their own and when I felt the soft bed on my back, I immediately drifted to sleep. With my husband holding my hand and my daughter hugging me. This is my peace and my home. Finally!
