Chapter 78

The decision now was whether to stay the night or not. I didn’t want to let him go and I knew it wouldn’t be too long before I would have to let him go home. I opted to stay the night. I needed to get as much Logan time as I could while he was here. Heading to bed and into his arms was something I could do for the rest of my life. Feeling safe, secure, and loved. Falling asleep content and happy. Waking in the morning, the bed was empty. I messaged Logan.

‘Where have you run off to?’

‘Just ordering some breakfast in bed, stay exactly where you are, I am on my way back.’

True to his word, within 5 minutes he was walking back into the bedroom. He jumped onto the bed making me laugh. He climbed over me planting kisses all over my face and arms. I couldn’t help but laugh and giggle. We tussled for control, and I ended up on top of him. Returning the favour and covering him in kisses. His hands settled on my hips, and I found myself grinding my hips against his. I felt his reaction before I lifted up to see the desire in his eyes. I sat back smiling while tracing the muscles on his chest. He hummed with happiness until there was a buzz. I jumped off him and he burst out laughing.

“It’s room service.” He laughed climbing out of bed.

“You’re answering it like that?”

I looked down at him to see he was standing to attention.

“I’ll be fine,” he winked and walked out.

A few moments later he wheeled a trolley filled with food into the bedroom. My eyes widened at all the food on the trolley.

“Did you order the whole menu?”

“Not quite, I couldn’t make my mind up what I fancied. Other than you of course,” he winked.

I shuffled onto my knees at the end of the bed. He picked up some items and fed me a bite before taking a bite himself. The explosion of flavors from each item had me in a spin. Once we were satisfied with the food, we laid together a little while before dragging ourselves up and out.

We drove back into the city and we decided to look around some shops before we had to eventually say our goodbyes. Each time I stopped in a shop hovering over any item that seemed to interest me, Logan offered to buy it for me. Each time I refused. By the early afternoon I accepted a few small gifts but nothing too big. We walked past a jewelry shop where something in the window caught my eye. I stopped and Logan noticed.

“What have you seen?”

“It’s nothing.”

“Babe,” he captured my lips for a kiss. “I promise I won’t offer to buy it for you, how about that?”

“Third row from the back, fourth one from the left.”

“The ring?”

“Yeah, it’s beautiful. I don’t often wear jewelry but it’s a nice ring.” I shrugged my shoulders.

I caught him seemingly contemplating something. I nudged him with my shoulder which seemed to break his train of thought. He gave me a little squeeze before we continued walking. It was all too soon that the afternoon was ending, and he drove me back to my car. I found myself missing him even though he was still right there next to me.
