I stared across the room, at the man sitting a few meters away from me.

" Adam," I called and he gave no response. I'd probably called him about a billion times today.

I'd been fretting my sanity out since Mr Todd called to tell me that Esme was staying over with him for the night.

The adrenaline-driven action I did a few days ago by breaking a man's hands came rushing back to my head and I thought about what it'd be like if he came to take revenge on me, I'd be dead before I could even throw a punch, no doubt.
