Esme's...
There was still no response from him and I stood up to go, the minute clarity I had was fading away and my senses were going back to being hazy.
" Please help me," he spoke for the first time and I stumbled back.
" Hey can you hear me, do you have a card," I asked but didn't get an answer.
His face from up close was too handsome to ignore, so I checked into his pockets, seeing for any leads of who he might be when I remembered that I'd booked a room.
" What could go wrong in having a handsome drunk stranger stay in the same room with another drunkard overnight." I thought to myself and held him by the hand in the hope of lifting him up from the ground.
But my feet were all wobble and I was depleted of whatever strength I had, with no other choice, I held his two hands above his head and embarrassingly dragged him to the elevator.
" Hey, you stupid man, do you know who I am, let me go" I heard a woman scream at a staff who stood in the middle of the route, blocking her from moving away.
I felt a pull with the man I was dragging and fell back on top of him again, the fuzzy feeling almost reaching its peak.
I stood up, and took him by the hand again, as I continued to drag him into the elevator.
The soft ding of the door closing brought instant relief and I sat on the ground, with the sprawled Body of the man beside me.
" Hey, are you still not awake, I mean, ar, are you dead, I asked, my thoughts rambling with the fear of a man dying in my hands in such and hotel like this.
There was no way out, and even if the cameras could prove my innocence, the lawyer wouldn't and a life sentence was the surest judgment for me.
I held my fingers over his nose, feeling his pulse and checking his breath to confirm he was still alive.
Either way, Raina and Titus will get to be together for life, I laughed, laughed hard, so much that it turned to crying and then sobbing.
The elevator stopped and I cleaned my face, to begin my arduous task of helping a man I knew nothing about.
" Maybe he was also cheated on, but why, I asked myself, dropping his arms to the ground roughly as I stood akimbo, wondering what fool of a woman would cheat on a man like him, or maybe he was gay," I thought again, laughing hard at my stupid sense of reasoning.
I stood in front of my room, wondering who'd build a room on the lowest level on the highest floor. I shrugged my shoulders anyway and proceeded to enter the room, dragging him by his legs this time around, I'd totally forgotten about the stoppage at the entrance until his head ran into it, and his eyes flung open.
" Gbam," the sound of my hands dropping his legs to the ground responded and he scrunched his face in response.
" Thank God you're not dead," I said kneeling down to meet his gaze, I didn't know who you were so I brought you into my room, I'll take the bed while you take the sofa, sorry I'd have let you take the bed but I paid a wholesome for just that," I said getting no response from him.
" Hey, I literally just helped your stupid ass from falling face flat in the restroom toilet bowl and all I get is the silent treatment," I yelled not thinking about whatever I was doing.
" Whatever," I said to him and held my hand behind his head before dragging his whole body into the room.
" Find your way out, you this unresponsive piece of handsome shit, I said the last two words with a drawl.
Amused at how I changed my initial words into something else.
I walked wobbly into the bathroom, undressing with each step I took, forgetting that there was a stranger in the room.
I walked into the bathroom, removed my panties, and headed straight for the shower, I heard a knock on the door.
I peeped open the door, looking outside the door to see that it was the man in the room.
" What do you want," I asked.
He said nothing and just stared at my face.
" Hey if you aren't going to say anything, I'd just leave you to it," I said about to close the door when he held it back from closing.
He held my head in his hands, pressing his lips against mine, opening the door large enough for him to walk through it.
I clenched my thighs together from the heat that flushed through my stomach.
" Mmm," I mumbled, trying to squeeze myself out of his arms, but he held on tighter. And I felt my walls crumbling down, his kisses deepened and I returned them, wrapping my legs around his waist, the shower water ran all over my naked body and his clothes clung tightly to his body.
My finger roamed his shirt unbuttoning his shirt buttons leaving me his broad chest. I'd briefly imagined how they'd look under his black shirt. A sheepish smile played across my face, as my hands roamed on his chest down to his trousers.
" I've to apologize beforehand because this night is going to be a long one," he said in between breaths unbuckling his belt, while I pulled his boxers briefs down.
I knew I had to stop now, I was about to have my first sex with a stranger I knew nothing about other than the color of his eyes and the shape of his nose, but I couldn't, I was too overwhelmed too, and there was a high possibility I'd be regretting this tomorrow, but what was alcohol without its consequences.
Cassians's"She isn't her, she isn't your secretary" my head buzzed with various thoughts of how I'd fuck this girl in front of me.Her voice kept ringing into my ears and it took all my rationality to not pin her down on the door front.I never thought I'd be ridiculed to the extent of being dragged all the way from the first floor of a restroom to the last floor of a seven-star hotel.Nevertheless, I was grateful, I'd rather be dragged by this nimble soft girl to her room than fall to the scheme of that secretary. And when my head had hit the stoppage at the door, I flung my eyes open to see her hovering over me, dropping my legs in the instant to the floor.I grunted in pain, watching as she spoke to me. Her hair flowed rhythmically with her every movement. She knelt beside me and I could just watch with my eyes wide open. And I could swear that she looks cute when she was mad, the way she'd changed her words from me being a piece of shit when I gave no response to her words. " Y
Esme...My whole life was ruined and at this moment I knew for a fact that even though Titus sleeping with Raina hurt, having a one-night stand with a man I saved who afterwards accused me of being a slut hurt more.I stared at the pitiful figure of myself on the floor, helpless and ugly, the hickeys and purple mark of my intimate sexual affair reflected Right in my face.I couldn't even recognize the face of the motherfucker I slept with.I stood up from the bed, gripping the sheets to the stains on the bed.The memories of last night came rushing to my head, from Titus to Raina, outside the rain, the bar and helping him before bringing him to the room with me, the sex, the harsh slap of reality on my face, and the way he had called me a slut.I fell to the bed, gripping the sheets tightly in my hands. The rush of emotion came at first like small mumbles and sobs, until I wasn't able to take it any longer. My head got fuzzier and the wracking lines of tears came rushing down my face.
EsmeHer vicious laughter filled my ears and the continuous laughter of victory infuriated me to my guts." What!" I asked, turning my face to look at her"You heard me right Esme, I killed her," she said again. My face was thrown into shades of pale and white, as I stared blankly at her." You're wondering how that's possible right," I just told her that you already started working as a whore and you keep sleeping with men, selling your body to them," she said again. And straightened herself back up and went back to meet Titus" Oh and I also told her that you weren't attending classes and that you have contracted AIDS from one of your usuals and that's what caused her heart attack," she laughed as she hugged Titus placing a kiss on his lips." You're not human Raina, you're fucking evil, do you know what you've done, you killed our fucking mother," I said standing up from the ground." Your mother Esme," she corrected." I'm your step-sister, our fathers are different, you've yours
Esme...Nine hours later, I woke up to the announcement of the flight crew. We were landing already and I sat up from my seat to a more comfortable position compared to the one earlier. The plane soon reached the runway and it lowered to stoppage." Please walk carefully, and welcome to Italy," the announcement came from the speaker of the flight attendant.I walked down the airstair of the plane to the tarmac, to the breeze washing over me, as if welcoming me to Italy.I halted a cab and headed to the nearest hotel, too stressed to think about anything, I just sat and enjoyed the ride while viewing the beautiful landscape of Italy. The cab stopped in front of a hotel, I alighted from it and paid before I walked into the hotel, the traumatic memories of my last hotel experience washed over me.I shook my head to put the thought away from my mind, walked up to the receptionist, and paid for a two-week reservation.I was handed the key card and thank goodness I took Italian Italian lang
Esme...I drove back to the resort and my stay was almost coming to an end, I only had a few days left before I moved out of the resort.I needed to find an apartment, not too chic but also not average, I needed one with the best security even if, mafias were too proud to launch attacks on lawyers, corporate business owners weren't, they were desperate and would do anything to get what they wanted. The hotel valet took the car key from me while I walked inside, exhausted and dehydrated, I needed to begin my search for an an apartment when I got back to the room. The food was served and I opened my laptop to begin my search. The options provided weren't few, but none of them suited my taste until I saw one, near work, high security and it was beautiful as well, I clicked on it and proceeded to pay the rent..............................................I began work at Ergo law firm the next Monday, having moved out of the hotel into my new apartment.I should have known for a fact that
Esme...The case had been scheduled for the day after, and as much as the shreds of evidence weren't ready, there was no evidence. The couple had planned to make the deceased fall from the building and sustain injuries that'd get him enough compensation to pay their son's medical bills, and he hadn't looked downward when he jumped not noticing the woodcutter beneath the ground which unalive him at the moment. It was the only logical explanation and Rita who sat opposite me widened her eyes in awe of how I made the explanations." I'm sure we'd win the case", she said and I nodded. We had to.The next day, I donned an all-black dress together with a black heel to court. All the families of the plaintiff were seated including the dying son.A triumphant smile played on her face and she once again took a ridiculing glance at me.Everyone else did what she did as well, looked at me like an amateur, too young to represent the Ergo and how the Ergo was losing its value, but all that soon ch
Reagan" I suppose you're outside for a much important meeting," I asked trying to divert his attention from staring too much at my body." I came to see the deceased son," he said setting his back against the backrest of the chair." Oh," I replied, unsure of what else to say anymore.According to the judge, the deceased wife would be the one to pay a fine for the involvement of crime and defamation of Mr Todd's company.I was supposed to pity her and although faster, I already had plans to pay his medical bills anonymously." Why'd you do it," I asked." Because Esme, if a Father was willing to throw himself from stories of building to get compensation so he'd be able to foot the bills of his son, he was a good father," He said while looking up at me." And his wife, although she was greedy, I understood her point and why she didn't want to back out of the case, that was why I paid, they're being left alone without a father and a husband." He said again, while a waitress walked towa
Esme..." Are you alright?" he asked and I nodded. An explicable feeling washed over me." Let go of the gun Esmeralda," he said and as much as I hated being called in full, now wasn't the time to do the corrections." You've to promise you won't shoot," I said holding on tighter. One of the most foolish things to do is bargain with a man like Todd, but there was no choice, if I didn't, this man would be six feet dead already." Alright," he said and I slowly released my grip from the gun." Break some more bones," he said afterward, and another series of nine crushing sounds filled the already still air." Let's leave," he said and held my hand away from the table, while I held Rita's with me." I can drive home myself, Mr Todd. I've my car with me," I said as we walked away." I'll have your car sent to your house. Rita will be sent home too," he said giving no chance for a response before he held me away.I trotted behind him and when we got to the car, he lifted me into the car wi
