I glanced at the list of tasks I needed to complete by tomorrow. The list seemed endless, each task more daunting than the last. A thought crossed my mind, "How am I supposed to remember all this? I can't even remember my grocery list."

Speaking of lists, a realization hit me. I needed to go to Victoria's office to retrieve my resume file before she saw it. That was the most crucial task at hand. But what about Eden's coffee? A smirk played on my lips as I thought, "He can wait, Mr. Arrogant."

With a flip of my hair, I spun on my heel and headed towards the elevator. I stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the 14th floor. The soft hum of the elevator music filled the small space, doing little to calm my racing heart. As the elevator descended, I found myself going over the plan in my head. Get in, find the file, get out. It sounded simple enough, but I knew that things were rarely as simple as they seemed.
