Chapter 48 (End)

The initially planned lunch that was supposed to happen among a few people ended up being a small party. Adding to the fact that it was the weekend, unexpected guests came filling up the large dining room of the large villa.

The house belongs to Jeremy's parents, he also lived there when he was little before he left after high school.

"I thought you said your parent invited us over why then are these people here?" Diane whispered into Jeremy's ear as she looked skeptically at the pot-bellied man that just sat down not far from her.

"Listen everyone"Jeremy's Dad's voice rang out and was clear getting everyone's attention.

The lunch was just about to start and they all seemed as confused as everyone present.

"I have invited everyone here because I have an important announcement to make. Once the last person arrives I will do so. Meanwhile, enjoy your meal". He concluded with a rarely-seen smile.
