Alayasia has always found it amusing when women are so determined to attach themselves to men solely because of their status. She saw it all the time with Maxim. Some of the she-wolves made it a point to be around him and throw it in her face. She figures that they thought she would be heartbroken about it. She really didn’t care because the more time he spent with them, the less he bothered her.

She also thinks back to Shiloh. She clearly wanted Houston because of what he stands for. Even though they’ve known each other for a long time, she’s sure that who he is as a person isn’t why Shiloh was so determined to get him. Alayasia has never been that calculating, and she would never be. There’s more to a person than their title and status.

    ~Shiloh~I step back in horror and conflict. My heart was in my throat when I thought that Houston was gone. I was grieving for the man I had wanted all my life. I knew he was gone, and my heart couldn’t take it. I rejoiced when I saw that he was still alive, but I was confused as to how that could be possible. Watching Geoffroy die is a lot. I’m not sure what I should do with myself now. Geoffroy was my ticket to getting those two removed from this pack. He was going to take both of them, and all I had to do was figure out who marked my man so I could get rid of her. Now, my chance is lost.
