TWENTY NINE : SLEEP TOGETHER

I was dumbstruck at his words. Our room?

“What do you mean by ‘our’?” I said, internally dreading the thought of knowing the right answer to my question.

“It means you and I are going to stay together in this room from now on.” his deep voice made my heart hitch and I wanted to sprint out of the door and hide in the room that he had assigned me earlier.

“Y-you can’t do that. What about…privacy?” I said and gulped the knot in my throat,

He clicked his tongue, “You should have thought about that before trying to run.”

“But I did not…”I said a bit more forcefully than I intended to and he raised a brow at me, “I mean, I did not run.”

“Because you did not get the chance to. If the circumstance was different, you would have taken the chance,” he said in a stern voice,

If circumstances were different, I wouldn’t have been in his mansion in the first place. But then maybe I would have been under Sam’s clutches? The thought caused a shudder to wave through my body like a vexatious vibration.
