Chapter Five

“Shhh!” She held her finger to her lips for a few seconds while scanning around one last time. With a deep exhale she finally began to speak. “I only saw green auras, Aubrey. What other color did you see?” She asked in a whisper, while still darting her eyes around.

“Blue… Why?”

She gasped and threw her hands up to her mouth. With a shake of her head, she lowered her hands and replied,

“No! That’s impossible. Are you absolutely certain you saw blue?”

I nodded my head in reply, but she wasn’t convinced. Gripping a hold of my shoulders once more, she leaned in a little too close for comfort.

“Now, Aubrey, this is extremely important. Are you sure?” She asked slowly, like all of a sudden I’d had a knock to the head and was a little on the dim side.

With an exaggerated roll of my eyes, I replied,

“Yes, Mom, I'm sure. Blue around their feet and legs, blending into an aqua color around their waists and finishing at a dark green around their head.”
