“That should do the trick,” she announced in a chirpy voice. “You'll need to keep those earplugs in for at least a week while your eardrums heal. Otherwise, the noise will be too much for you and they won’t heal. Your hearing is super-charged, so hearing us through the earplugs shouldn’t be an issue.”

I nodded at her but she didn’t give me a chance to thank her, or say anything at all, really. She turned to my parents and said,

“Right ... I’m going to need you to capture both men for me. Can you do that?” She asked my father and he nodded in reply. I didn’t know what she wanted with them, but she did just fix my ears, so there was some trust there.

“If I just erase her memories of them, they can still cause her significant harm by hanging around and calling for her. Eventually, it will drive her to insanity. Their bloodline is strong. Usually, the blood would have faded from her system, but theirs is too powerful. With their family's blood in her system, it has merged with her own DNA
