Three

Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves at the triplets' birthday party. Their parents hosted a large birthday party in their grand mansion. Many people were invited from far and near to come and celebrate with the De Mevius.

"Where's Alison?", Addison asked her younger sister. She shrugged, "Maybe kissing Dylan". Addison cringed at the image of her sister kissing and immediately shunned the image.

"Don't give me creeps", she told Arieon who laughed at her. "Your expression was priceless", she said.

"Any suitors?", Addison asked. Arieon rolled her eyes, "I told them I'm not interested". "I'll not be surprised if you married at the age of seventy", Addison shook her head at her sister. Arieon glared at her, "Don't be surprised if I got married before you".

Addison cocked an eyebrow, "Is that a challenge?". "I think it is", Arieon pipped. With a laugh, the two sister shook their heads and began to search for their sister to complete their trio.

Feeling a burning stare at her back, Arieon turned around but saw no one looking at her. She frowned and turned back to the front to follow her sister.

Noticing her sister's uneasiness, Addison asked, "What's wrong?". "I think someone's watching me", Arieon replied.

"You sound like Alison", Addison rolled her eyes at her sister. Seeing how uncomfortable her sister was, she let out a sigh and wrapped her arms around her sister.

"You're okay. Let's go find Alison", she said and Arieon nodded.

Few minutes later, they found their sister who was busy stuffing her face with cupcakes while her boyfriend was laughing at her.

"Hey Dylan", Arieon hugged him. "Hey little peach", he ruffled her hair making her scowl. "I'm not little", she glared at him. He let out a laugh and shook his head. "It's not my fault you guys are short", he laughed.

The three ladies glared at him. Just because they were 5'6 doesn't mean he had the right to make just of their height.

"Why am I even keeping you around?", Alison glared at him. Dylan rolled his eyes at her dramatic statement. "You love me", he kissed her nose. "Thank you for not failing to remind us that we're single", Arieon rolled her eyes making the couple chuckle. Dylan grinned down at his best friend who pinched his arm.

"You need to find a boyfriend", he pouted at her making her roll her eyes. How was Alison keeping up with this idiot?

"Hello", the group turned to face a man with Sandy blonde hair dresses in a blue tuxedo. He looked like he just walked out of a fashion magazine with those stunning blue eyes and baby pink lips.

Seeing that his eyes were on her, Arieon replied,"Hi?".

Arieon wasn't the type to date people. In all of her twenty two years in this world, she had never kissed anyone or dated anyone. She and her sisters only gushed over actors and artists and never really wanted to date.

Alison was the first out of the three to break the record and fall in love with the owner of Lockwell Empire. Addison only had flings while Arieon never cared to date. She was fine with being single.

"May I know your name?", The blonde man asked her. Not in the mood to flirt with him, she smiled, "I'm Arieon and these are my sisters. Addison and Alison". After introducing themselves, Dylan saved the three ladies by telling the man that they were his girlfriends.

Taking advantage of the blonde's shock, he wrapped his arms around the ladies and dragged them away.

"Thanks", Arieon said in relief. "I'm starting to think you're into girls", Dylan chuckled. Knowing he was only joking since he was her best friend since college she shrugged. "Nah, I'm straight but I don't have time for men yet", she waved him off.

Addison's phone beeped causing her to look at it. "Dad's asking for us", she said. "Where?", Alison asked. "His office", she answered. Alison turned to her boyfriend, "We'll see you later babe". He grinned and kissed her lovingly before they parted.

How lucky he was to score this beauty's heart, he has no idea.

"I hope everything is alright", Alison said as they walked up the stair. " I think I'm going to stop by my room to change into sneakers", Arieon groaned. She was tempted to walk barefooted to their dad's office but knowing their mother would flip, she continued walking.

"You need to learn how to manage six inches", Addison said. "Just because you're a model and my sister doesn't mean we both have the same endurance", Arieon rolled her eyes.

"Tom and Jerry", Alison shook her head at the both of them. They approached their father's office and walked in.

Their father was seated behind his large white oak office table while their mother was seated on one of the black couches.

"We have arrived", Alison announced their obvious presence. Arieon rolled her eyes, in times like this, Alison's IQ was always low.

"So how are you girls enjoying your party?", Lucas asked his daughters. They sat on the large couch. "It's good", Arieon moaned as she massaged her aching ankles. She wasn't a fan of heels. Her sisters wouldn't be surprised if she wore sneakers in her wedding day.

Lucas chuckled at his daughter's behavior. Elisa smiled sadly know this would probably be the last time she'd see her daughter's beautiful face.

"There's something we need to tell you", their father said. "We're all ears", Alison said.

"Arieon is getting married".

Like that, it was like time stopped.

Every movement seized at the moment. Arieon stopped massaging her ankle while her sisters snapped their heads to their father.

"You're joking", Addison said as if expecting their mother to say something like 'gotcha!'.

She looked at her mother who avoided her eyes.

"To who?", Arieon asked shakily. "The Italian Mafia", Lucas answered looking at his daughter's shaking figure.

Hearing that made her breath hitch.

"Why?!", Alison yelled angrily. She wanted to know the reason why her sister was being married off to one of the most dangerous people in the world.

"We had no choice. It was a decision made years ago", he answered with a strained voice.

The door opened everyone turned to see who walked in to interrupt the tense moment.

Fear overtook everyone as their eyes landed on the most intimidating man on the planet.

"I'm so sorry to be interrupting this family moment. I came to remind you of my departure", he said with his deep rich Italian accent.

Arieon felt her body shake in terror and fear as he said that.

"Y-yes", Lucas stuttered. The man nodded and smirked before leaving the office.

"Father, do something!", Addison begged her father. Lucas looked at his daughter's, "I'm sorry. It was a decision that had to save our lives then. If I didn't make it, you guys would have died".

His heart pulled as he remembered how he begged the Italian Mafia to save his daughters.

"I-it's o-okay", Arieon stuttered as she stood up. "When am I leaving?", She asked her father. Addison and Alison stared at their sister like she had grown three heads. Lucas looked down at his hands, "With him tonight".

"Dad, please stop this", Alison begged her father as tears formed in her eyes.

Pushing down the acidic bile in her throat, Arieon nodded at her father and walked out of the office.

Elisa burst into sobs as she buried her face in her hands. "Dad, please", Addison and Alison cried as they went on their knees.

They didn't want to loose their sister at all.

Arieon, being lost in her thoughts tripped and squeezed her eyes shut to welcome the pain of falling face first on the ground.

"You need to be careful", a thick Italian voice filled her eyes as a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist steadying her.

She opened her eyes but didn't dare look up to see the man that saved her from falling.

"T-t-thank you", she stuttered. His aura was intimidating and fierce making her shake visibly.

"Run along", he whispered to her making her gulp as she walked around him and sped walked to her room.

He watched in awe as her legs carried her towards her room. Her long beautiful brown locks swishing and bouncing in the hair as she hurried towards her room.

He wondered how they would feel when he ran his hands through them. Sure enough, they would be soft and silky.

Slamming the door shut, Arieon rested her back on the door as she tried to keep her emotions in check.

She wasn't even sure of what she wanted to do anymore.

What did she want to do?

She wanted to scream and tell at how cruel the universe was towards her. She wanted to tell at her parents for doing this to her but she couldn't.

Even if she wanted to scream, nothing would come out of her mouth.

She felt numb.

Silently, she made her way to her closet and opened it. She looked at the variety of clothes and shoes. "Time to start packing", she mumbled and began to pack her things.

There was a knock on the door drawing her attention. "It's us", Alison said hoping her sister would let them in. "Come in", Arieon said and relief filled her heart.

As her sisters walked into the room, Arieon felt like she should scream and cry. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. A tear slipped down her cheek as she forced a smile.

"Hey guys", she said with a strained voice. "I'm so sorry", Addison burst into tears and went to hug her sister. Alison followed suit.

"Don't apologise", Arieon told her sisters. They helped her pack her things into the black and purple suitcase she owned.

"I can't believe you're leaving us", Addison muttered heartbroken. Arieon sighed and looked at her, "I won't be away from you guys forever".

"I'll miss you", Alison hugged her sister as if her life depended on it. "You'll keep my bestie okay", Arieon said to her playfully as they walked out of her room. The party had already ended and everywhere was getting dark.

"You can count on me", Alison smiled.

A maid took the suitcase downstairs and they followed after. "I'm scared", Arieon confessed to her sisters as they approached the large double doors.

Behind those doors was the man that was feared all over the world. She's was getting married to a monster.

"You'll be fine", Addison assured her. Not knowing what else to do, Alison pulled her in a hug. "Remember that time when we thought we had triplets telepathy?", She asked. Arieon nodded, "We could feel one another's emotions".

"I can feel how scared and troubled you are but I want you to know that Addison and I are always here for you. No matter what happens, we're with you. Not physically but in your heart", Alison placed her hand on the spot on Arieon's left chest where are heart was located.

A small some grew on Arieon's face.

"I love you guys", she said. "We love you more than you can ever know", Addison replied.

With a deep breath, Arieon pushed the door open and they walked in.

There in the living room sat three people. Their parents and her soon to be husband.

Her eyes locked with cold gray eyes that made her stop in her tracks. They were mesmerizing, so cold but beautiful. They were the kind of eyes that you would never get tired of looking at.

"Sweetie", Elisa said drawing her attention. Heat pooled Arieon's face as she realized how much she had been staring. Lucas cleared his throat while the man smirked.

He stood up, "It's time to leave. The jet would be ready in an hour and I don't want to be late. I have an appointment".

Arieon's heart raced as she heard that. She couldn't believe that she was going to leave her family. "You have fifteen minutes to say your goodbyes", he said and turned to leave. As the man walked out of the house, she turned to face her family.

Elisa was in tears as she tried to memorize the face of her now grown beautiful daughter.

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I really am", Lucas said with a strained voice. He was trying hard not to cry but with the way hurt was displayed on his daughter's beautiful face made it a hard task.

"I understand", Arieon swallowed hard. She bit the inside of her cheek and looked at her father. Her superhero. She remembered the day she took a photo of him to school for show and tell back when she was in elementary school.

She called him her superhero because he was always there for her and her sisters.

Now, she was leaving him.

"Daddy", she mumbled and ran into his arms. He wrapped his arms around her. "I'm so sorry, Ari. You're a beautiful woman, strong and intelligent. I've always and forever been proud of you and your sisters", he said into her hair.

"It's going to be okay", he said to her and she sniffled as they pulled part. Elisa engulfed her daughter in a hug. She was going to miss all the arguments and mischief her daughter would cause.

"I love you my child", she whispered to her. "I live you too, mom", Arieon mumbled back.

They pulled away and she faxed her sisters. They were already crying. "Please, don't go. We can run away*, Alison said. Arieon let out a small laugh and wiped her sister's tears with her palm. "You wouldn't want Dylan to be heartbroken", she said.

Alison's lower lip quivered as she looked at her sister's face. "I'm going to miss you", Addison hugged her sister. "Please don't do anything stupid when I leave", Arieon told her. "I'm not promising", Addison scoffed.

"I'll miss you", Arieon hugged them.

A different man walked in, "Capo said to get you". His accent was a deep Italian. Arieon looked at her family once more.

"I love you all", she said and followed the man out of the house. Outside was dark but it was illuminated by the lanterns and moon.

There were three black Rolls Royce cars waiting for them. The man was already seated in one of them.

"Here", the other man opened the door for her to step in. Mumbling a 'thank you', she stepped in.

Thankfully, her husband-to-be wasn't in the same car as hers. She wasn't sure she'd be able to breathe if they were in the same car.

The three cars roared to life and began to drive out of the De Mevius estate. A lone tear fell down her cheek as Arieon silently said goodbye to her childhood home.
