21. Playing Nurse

It was day four when they finally gave him the clear to go home. He was restless and bored to death. 

"Nicolette, you're coming home with me right?" He blurted out without thinking, then he was grinning knowing his parents were still in the room.

I blushed crimson. But Hellen calmed me down. "It's okay darling. Both of you are consenting adults. I trust you both to make the right decision. But I will be glad if you could stay with him to nurse him. That is if you can stand him. If not, I will be taking care of him of course." She scolded Brenton's hair lovingly. 

"Mum. Please. I want Nikki. You and dad can come to visit, just make sure to call ahead." He pouted. He was being a kid now. That was it then.

"Okay Brenton, I will stay at your place. But I have to get back to mine first. You know I still have to deal with the house." I told him while packing his things into his bag. 

"You know, if you want I can look for a buyer for your h
