Chapter 34 - Hibiki
I can’t believe it! We got married!! Okay, so it’s not technically legal since we would have needed a marriage license. But we can do that later. I’m amazed my dad had the rings. It’s like my parents have been awaiting the moment I would want the family rings. I was happy when my great-grandmother’s ring easily slid onto Yūri’s finger. She is now the fourth woman to wear this ring.
And I know it makes my mom happy to finally have a daughter-in-law who can wear it. Mom stopped wearing it and got a basic band when I was five because her fingers had outgrown the ring. And I don’t want to jinx us as I glanced at Yūri’s stomach while we headed for my apartment, but maybe these rings will find their way to a fifth generation.
