Arizona's POV

Funny how things always switch so fast.

A few years ago, I was the rich forbidden fruit that Orion would kill for and even send his wife away for which he did, with a little push though.

And this year, the story was different.

How had I earned the position of barren Luna?

Oh, yes, you are right. I am not even Luna, yet.

I barely even care about this position as Luna anymore, of what use was it when that bitch is Supreme Alpha? It would still be lower than her position.

I had been so obsessed with her position as Luna,as it was general Knowledge that Orion would be the next supreme Alpha of the kingdom as he was the oldest Alpha and rumour had it that the Supreme Alpha didn't have a child.

Oh well, here we were with a child and a grandchild too.

I was relieved when all attention had finally shifted away from me in the hall. The anger my mother inlaw had instigated by calling me barren had backfired on me.

I had never been so embarrassed in my life when Imogene told me to kneel and apologize. Me? Kneel.

Did she know who I was? She had not even come into power yet and she was already commanding. She didn't know how this power game worked if not, she wouldn't have gotten deeper on my bad side.

Orion, my so-called husband on the other hand, had left me on my own in my time of distress. The same man I had fought tooth and nail for. He had left me on his own and acted like he didn't know me. One minute he was by my side and the next he was nowhere to be found.

I turned to look at him and watched as his eyes followed Imogene and the Supreme Alpha out of the hall.

He wanted her back, even when he didn't say it with his mouth I could read it in his eyes, his heart.

He wanted her, not just because of her son whom he thinks is his, but because of her position too. He was proud of her.

I had to scoff in disbelief. He was unbelievable. A man who didn't know what he wanted. A man who was controlled by his mother. How have I not seen all this?

This hall was becoming too choking for me and I could barely breathe now as I stared at him. I needed to get out, get some fresh air and breathe again.

Just then, Orion's eyes met with mine from across the hall, and I took a good look at him for a minute. How had I ended up with a man who couldn't defend me. I should've listened to my father, he had warned me but I wanted love, I wanted to follow my heart and I chose him.

I needed to breathe.

I quickly glanced around, looking for the nearest exit to clear my head and when I found one, I quickly began heading in that direction. I had to stay sane. Imogene was no one to treat me like I was nothing.

By the time I got to the exit I was breathing like someone who has asthma. Hot tears were brimming at my eyes at the laughing stock I had turned into.

I looked back and saw Orion run after me. He had no right whatsoever.

When I got out, I ran towards the back of the town hall, and let out a loud painful growl as my wolf engulfed me, tearing away the gown Orion had chosen for me.

Damn him.

"Arizona, wait! Wait babe." I could hear him call me, but I didn't care. He could go to hell for all I cared about.

I had to retreat into my mind and let my wolf take over, it was the only way I could breathe.

As I ran into the woods, I felt tears stream down my wolves face as I tore down trees and anything I saw in my path.

I had to feel my wolf to remember I was one of the strongest wolves in this pack and one supreme Alpha could not make me feel like I was worth nothing.

I was blinded, I couldn't see anything as I ran but I didn't care. My wolf was strong enough to take any pain whatsoever. It was why Luna Celine had wanted me in the first place, she knew what I was capable of and wanted the best for her son, I would have to remind her that when next we met.

I had come down to her level and respected her as a mother in law which was why she treated me that way. I would remind her who I was.

As for Orion, I could work on the two things that made him attached to Imogene again.

Her new position which was obviously higher than mine. Was there anything I could do?

Make her feel incompetent to the rest of the pack members. But they wouldn't listen to me as she had already embarrassed me tonight and placed herself above me, so that was out of the list until tonight's incident was forgotten.

And the second, her son.

I could give Orion a son but that was something I had been trying to do for five years now but to no avail. I was sure this was because of the number of abortions I had done for him.

He would be stripped of his Alpha position if they found out he had impregnated someone other than his wife. They would kill our child because he would be a threat to the legitimate son.

He had said all those to make me get rid of my babies, his mother had helped him, and now he had married me and I wasn't able to conceive anymore, I was the barren one?

I would remind them.

If I couldn't give him a son, I could as well take the one he thought he had.

I smiled at myself, how had I not thought of that for a long time now.

I was still running in my wolf form. I had begun this race just to clear my head but now I had no destination in mind.

Imogene would be calmed by the time she realized what I had in store for her.
