Twenty six: Mine
The last two weeks had been quite stressful for me. I was working, at the same time reading for my exams, also trying to balance my relationship with Roy. Roy had said he was fine with me having to work a lot, but I didn't want to make the same mistake I had made in my last relationship. No matter how large the workforce was, I was going to balance it all.
Walking into my room, I shut the door behind me. About to sit for a while, my phone rang. Seeing it was mom, I smiled.
"Hi beautiful momma," I greeted her.
She chuckled. "Silly. How're you doing?"
"I'm good." I propped my butt on the bed, exhaled. "I'm just kind of bulked with so much to do."
"I'm sorry for that. When are you gonna come home?" She asked.
I sucked my teeth. "Um, I'll finish my exams soon. Don't worry about that. I'll let you know when I'll return."
