Janet POV

I got up from my bed and rushed to find Asphalt after I saw the message on my phone. It was my birthday and he didn't cancel it after what I had done last time. He was really mad and I thought that he would call off my birthday party.

"Thank you honey," I ran into his study room pecking him on his cheeks. He was currently busy with his work, something I had come to hate.

He prioritized work over everything else including me.

"Thank you so much for not canceling my birthday party. I thought I wouldn't have any this year after making you angry the other day. Thank you so much," I peppered his face with kisses but he gently pushed me away, wiping his face off.

I felt insulted by his action but there was no way I was going to complain about it. I was under his mercy, one wrong word and all my credit cards would be canceled.
