LOGINARABELLA
I couldn’t move. All of a sudden I feel like I have disappeared from their world. I became a bystander who doesn’t dare to interfere. I watched Stephanie stare at my husband. The smile that she lost earlier when she saw Adrian’s hand resting on my waist finally came back. Adrian wasn’t moving. He was just standing there but I saw happiness glisten in his eyes. I saw how his gaze landed on Stephanie’s belly which hasn’t had a bump yet. He already claimed her and he didn’t even tell me. I wonder what Stephanie thinks of me as I continue to hold onto Adrian’s promises. She was probably calling me a fool in her head. Before they could notice my presence I made my way out of the crowd. I heard the other guests calling my name but I just smiled at them and continued walking. I couldn’t breathe. I feel like I was being suffocated. I made my way inside the mansion desperate to be far from everyone. I couldn’t face them. I feel dumb for being a wife who turned a blind eye when her husband was already cheating on her. I shouldn’t have let him manipulate me. I climbed the stairs wanting to reach my room so badly but before I could reach the last step someone grabbed my arm. I turned around only to see the woman I despise the most. “I am not in the mood to talk to you, Stephanie,” I firmly uttered trying to sound calm even though my blood was already boiling. She gave me an apologetic smile but I couldn’t bring myself to believe that she was sorry for what she did. “I just want to surprise Alpha Adrian, Luna Arabella. I thought telling him that I was pregnant was the greatest gift I could give him,” “And you have to announce that in front of the pack? In front of everyone? Knowing damn well that he was married. I am his wife, Stephanie. You made me a fool in front of everyone. What would you feel if you were in my place? What would you feel if your husband’s mate announced in front of the whole pack that she was carrying your husband’s child?” She was silent but after a few seconds of silence, I saw a smile slowly crawling on her lips. “I don’t know,” she shrugged her shoulders. “I would probably leave or maybe just kill myself and vanish into thin air,” I looked at her in disbelief. The woman who couldn’t look me in the eyes before was glaring at me while uttering cruel words I wasn’t expecting to hear. “I shouldn’t have let you set foot in our territory. I should have pushed you away when Adrian brought you here. I shouldn’t have let you live with us,” Her smile grew wider. She took another step standing on the same step as mine. “Yeah. You shouldn’t have done that,” she closed the gap between us. She then cupped my face letting her claws dig into my skin. “You shouldn’t have let me have a glimpse of your perfect life. You have everything, Arabella. A perfect husband. A pack that respected you. I have been dreaming of having that kind of life and now I am close to having it,” My forehead creased completely confused about whatever she was planning. “What are you trying to do?” I asked, fear evident in my tone. She leaned in and whispered the words that shocked my core. “I will make everyone hate you, Arabella. I will take everything that you have,” She looked me straight in the eyes. Before words could come out from my mouth her shout echoed in every corner of the mansion as she intentionally let her feet slip. She lost her balance and before I could hold her hand she rolled down the stairs while I stood frozen in place. The pack members started to flock in along with other guests but my gaze was fixated on Adrian who came running to Stephanie. Blood was dripping on her forehead and her green satin dress was stained with red. I felt my knees wobble so I gripped the handrail tightly to keep my balance. In my periphery, I can feel them staring at me while murmuring to each other. “Did she push her?” “She got mad when she heard that her husband got his mate pregnant,” “That’s not enough reason to hurt Stephanie,” “I never thought Luna Arabella was capable of hurting someone,” “She’s a monster,” “Why did she push a pregnant woman off the stairs?” “She should be punished,” “Alpha Adrian should throw her out of the pack. How dare she try to kill Alpha Adrian’s heir?” I feel like a thousand pairs of eyes are watching me. Their voices got clearer as seconds passed by as if I was being surrounded by them when in fact I was still standing on the highest step of the stairs while they were flocking below. “Ready my car!” Adrian shouted which made everyone fall silent. Murmurs stopped and the whole place became deafening. None dared to move or even make a sound. All eyes were on Adrian who was now gently lifting Stephanie’s unconscious body from the cold floor. Before taking a step he turned to Kael, his Beta. “Locked Arabella in her room. Make sure she couldn’t escape,” he ordered his voice cold and firm. When his blazing red eyes turned to me I felt like I was being shot with sharp daggers. “I never thought your jealousy would come this far, Arabella. I can no longer recognize the woman that I married. If you think you can get away from this you are mistaken. If something bad happens to Stephanie and our child my claws will dig into your neck. I will kill you myself, Arabella,”LUCIEN "Where should we put this, Alpha Lucien?" I glanced at the two omegas Alpha Ronan had sent to serve his fake daughter. They were holding a bunch of dresses and a box jewelries. "Just put them inside my closet," I simply responded. I watched how they filled my chamber with colorful stuff that perfectly ruined my minimalistic style. I am already annoyed by how her things occupy my space, what more if she wakes up and treats my chamber as her own? “Do you want us to request another bed so you can rest, Alpha Lucien?” the old omega asked. I shook my head. “It’s fine. Just leave if you’re done,” “We have to look after Lady Sienna—“ “I will take care of her,” The old omega watched me with hesitation. She glanced at the young omega she was with, before she turned her head back to me and politely bowed. “Just call us if you need something, Alpha Lucien,” I didn’t respond. I simply watched them as they stepped out of my chamber and when I am all alone I freely watch
LUCIEN My grip loosened. "W-Who?" I asked, losing my composure. The omega looked at me, blood gushing out of her neck. "L-Lady V-Valeria paid m-me to p-poison your m-mate," I knew it. I shouldn't have underestimated Valeria’s suspicion. The moment she met the rogue, she already noticed that something was wrong. I should have kept a close eye on her. She's Alpha Magnus' daughter after all. She wouldn't stop until her suspicion was proven right. "What will you do now, Alpha Lucien? Should we take Lady Valeria and bring her here?" Alaric asked. I shook my head. "I will deal with her. Deal with this rogue for me and make sure whatever happens here will never reach anyone...especially my father," "You'll still protect Lady Valeria even if she tried to kill your fated mate, Alpha Lucien?" Elias asked. His tone was laced with respect but I know he was against my decision.I looked at him and nodded. “Alpha Magnus will be involved if we do something to Valeria. I'll deal with this on m
LUCIEN “Alpha Lucien!” Cressida, the omega who serves me shouted when I almost lost my balance. In a split second, it feels like my strength was pulled out. ‘Our mate,’ Jaxon spoke. ‘Something happened to our mate, Lucien,’ I tried to act like it didn’t affect me but before I could manipulate my mind, my feet were already moving on their own. My steps were quick, slicing through the crowded hallway filled with omegas who were busy decorating the grand hall. “Fucking move!” I growled. The omegas started moving like scared cats, pressing their body on the wall so they wouldn’t block my path. My footsteps were fast until they turned into a run. I have navigated each part of this palace but this is the first time I realized how big it is. Why is it taking me so long to reach the rogue’s chamber?! After what feels like eternity of running I finally saw the door of her chamber. Omegas are plucking around, like they are watching something interesting. “What happened?” “Is she de
ARABELLANo. He can't mark me. If I let him mark me then that means I am submitting to him. We haven't sealed the bond yet but my wolf was already out of my control, what more if I let him claim me? What would happen to me then? Will I be a slave to him? Will I do everything he wanted? "I have to do something," I walked back and forth while biting my nails. "Think, Arabella. Think..."I racked my brain, thinking of ways to escape that marking ceremony. Should I just run away? Will Lucien hunt me if I do that? Or maybe I should call Alpha Ronan? I should ask for his help. “Lady Sienna,” My head snapped towards the door when I heard a familiar voice, it was the two omegas who dressed me as Sienna. The older woman looked at me straight in the eyes while the younger one bowed politely.“We received a letter from the palace. You will be marked tonight,” the old woman spoke. It feels like a light bulb lit up. Right. They are here to rescue me. I quickly grabbed my bag that wa
ARABELLA“M-Marked?” I blurted out.I know I shouldn’t be part of the conversation. Lucien made it clear that I should just shut my mouth but how can I do that when the King is ordering him to claim me?“Why?” King Tobias looked at me. “You don’t want my son to mark you, Sienna?”I glanced at Lucien who was already watching me sharply. If his father wasn’t here I would probably be begging for air again.“I-It’s not like t-that K-King Tobias but isn’t it too soon?” I let out a nervous laugh. “T-The blood moon w-will appear i-in a few months can’t we j-just wait for that?”King Tobias smiled. “I don’t want to scare you but once the news spreads that Lucien has already found his mate, your life will be put in danger. Werewolves who were hungry for power will be after your head. They will do everything to take your place just to make their daughters the new Queen, right Magnus?”Alpha Magnus who was quietly standing beside King Tobias nodded. “Yes, King Tobias,”King Tobias held Alpha Mag
ARABELLA He smirked. Five seconds of silence passed before he nodded. “Yeah. I would kill you, Arabella,” Those words feel like a sharp dagger piercing through my chest but I smile through the pain, acting like his words didn’t create a hole. I didn’t say a word, I simply looked at him but he cut the stare and cleared his throat. “Let’s head inside. They must be waiting,” I didn’t respond. I just quietly followed him. The Royal Guards bowed at the sight of Lucien. None dared to block his path. He navigated the hallway like he owned everything his foot landed. At the end of the hall, another massive wooden door, intricately carved with vines, swung open to reveal a grand hall likely used for balls. In its center stood a gigantic staircase with gleaming gold railings. Adrian wasn’t exaggerating. This palace really seems unreal. I kept on following Lucien while my eyes feasted on the intricate design of the hall. “Did you grow up in the palace?” I asked, my voice mixed with the s
