His toys

The house was unusually quiet. No sounds of Gabrielle's men playing chess in the compound, or the sounds of the the gardner mowing the lawn. The kitchen too was quiet. The sound of Ava preparing a delicious meal, had disappeared into the thin air.

Antonio had dumped her inside her room, and without a word, left the room. Alexa's body trembled with rage. She coiled herself under the blanket, praying for sleep to come.

Miraculously, Alexa slept for a very long time. She was very exhausted, and needed to rest. She woke up few hours later, and was surprised to see that it was 4:30 pm.

Time ran very fast.
