"yes" Adefunke retorted,

"Okay, father and daughter step out of the compound and they walked to where their car was parked, and they entered, and the driver drove them home," how did you see the guy?" her father asked,

"the guy is cool, but there are no emotions and feelings" Adefunke retorted,

" you will have to build up the emotions and feelings because we don't have much time," her father said,

"I can not force anything dad," Adefunke said,

"Well, that is the only cool headed guy that could cope with your health challenges, so try as much as possible to make things happen between the two of you," her father said, and he left her in the living room,

The Carnival festival was approaching, just two weeks to go, and preparation was going on in every house, and Damilola called Funmilola," hi babe" Funmilola responded," "how are you" she asked,

"am cool, and how are you today my love?" Damilola asked,

"am good, but have a stressful day" she retorted,

"Sorry about that," he says,

"It's nothing, I need to struggle to make a better life for myself," Funmilola said,

"don't worry, just for a while, stress will soon end in your life, I promised to make you comfortable in our home," Damilola says,

"What is your favorite color?" he asked,

"wine color" she retorted," and why did you ask?" she asked,

"I just want to know," he asked,

"what is your favorite color?" Funmilola asked,

"Royal blue and black or red" he retorted,

"I love your color," she says, did you want me to change?" she asked,

"which means, our favorite colors are wine, royal blue, and black, we will be combining the colors to make one favorite" Damilola says,

" yes, I love you, babe," Funmilola says, and she smiles,

" I love you more sweetheart," Damilola said," I will call you later in the day," he said, and he ended up with the phone conversations,

" I told you to bring the girl that is in your heart home, we need to see and access her, maybe she fits into our standard," his mom says because I heard you talking to her on phone," his mom says, "I understand, you love her, but that doesn't mean that we should not know our future daughter in law," his mom says,

"Mom, I will bring her at an appropriate time we are just getting used to each other, please, give us some time" Damilola explained,

"Okay, will you bring her during the festive period?" his mom asked,

"She might come before that" he replied,

"Alright, we will be expecting her," his mom says, and she left her inside the room,

Four days later, he went out and made shopping for Funmilola and himself, he bought an iPhone 11promax for Funmilola, and, after the shopping, he drove to the palace and waited beside the palace gate, and he called her,

A few minutes later, she came out to join Damilola inside the car, and he drove her home, and two of them came out of the car, and they walked to their compound where they met Funmilola's father and he sat under the tree they usually sat whenever Damilola came to visit Funmilola, "good day sir" Damilola greeted with respect,

"Welcome my son," he says," how was today's job?" Funmilola asked,

"Father good day," Funmilola says,

"Welcome, how was the day's job?" her father asked,

“stressful" she replied,

"Sorry about that," he said,

"and he stood up and he gave them chance to sit at their usual place, and they sat down under the tree, and Damilola return to where he parked his car and he opened the car and brought the shopping bag out and walked back to the compound where he met Funmilola waiting for him," what is this?" Funmilola asked,

"A surprise for you sweetheart," Damilola says, and he gave the shopping bags to Funmilola, and she opens them, and screams and shouts for joy, and she was surprised to receive a gift, "please, open it and check what is inside," he says,

" I should open it" she inquired," hope it's not a parcel bomb?" she asked jokingly, and she opened the shopping bags, he saw the iPhone 11promax, and the cocktail dress, and shoes, and handbag" and Carnival decorations, "thank you, sweetheart," Fumilola says,

"am only doing my duties as your fiancee," Damilola says,

"thank you, my love" Funmilola says,

"I should be on my way now," he says, and he steps out of the compound, and he drove home, meanwhile, his father has been waiting for him, and he gave him sowing clothes, and he told him, "this is clothes for the carnivals and you can buy shoes of your choice to match it up," his father says,

"I have gotten my favorite color," Damilola says,

"It doesn't matter, this is what everybody will wear that day," his father said,

"Alright, no problem," Damilola said, and he collected the clothes he entered into his room,

The day of carnival, he dressed up in the traditional clothes that his father gave him, and he headed to the carnival ground, where the event are happening,

Damilola was waiting for Funmilola when Adefunke came with the same dress, and he stood beside him, and the carniver decorations were the same, and when Funmilola came and she saw them, she was shattered, but later summon courage to move closer to Damilola and Adefunke saw her beside Damilola and Adefunke held him tight and she kissed him amidst the crowd,

When Funmilola saw the situation, she left the scene and ran to the event hall exit while Adefunke held Damilola tight, while Damilola was trying to free himself from Adefunke but It was not easy for him, and his father and Adefunke's father came to join them and before they could say anything he has free himself and he ran towards the event hall exit gate and enter into his car and drove to Funmilola's house, but he didn't meet her at home, he called her phone, It was switched off, he drove to the palace, he was there till in the evening,

Meanwhile, Funmilola was in her childhood friend's house sobbing, while Adefunke was celebrating victory, and his mom was happy, and she says, "at last, our dreams are coming to reality"

"where is Damilola?" his father asked,

"leave him, he will come back home" his mom retorted,

"Call his phone number," his father says,
