Chapter 14

Febrina walked down the streets of Waterford city, which was busy because it was Saturday, filled with people walking without paying attention to their surroundings. It had been almost a year since she had visited her hometown and saw the many changes that had taken place during her absence.

For instance, a building that used to be a bookstore that had always been her favourite place to spend time has now become an abandoned building filled with wild plants that vine to the outside. Only the signboard in the shop remained. There was a signboard posted near the building bearing the name and telephone number of the property agent who handled the place, indicating the place had been sold by the owner.
