Chapter 16

Driving a woman home when they were not feeling well was definitely not a good idea. Absolutely not, and should be avoided. His fingers tapped the steering wheel as soon as the blue Bugatti Vero he was driving had passed out of the Nikki campus building. The atmosphere got even more awkward because he had no idea to open a conversation and there was no initiative from Nikki to break up the strange atmosphere they both created. His eyes moved from side to side, pretending that he was paying attention to the road that was actually not too busy as an excuse to peek at Nikki. The woman looked out of the window, although he was absolutely sure that the woman's thoughts had drifted far out of her body, further away from the scene before her eyes. Unable to stand the increasingly negative atmosphere that they already created, he finally cleared his throat so that Nikki's attention was diverted from the traffic ahead towards him.

"Yes?" Nikki replied, looking at him.
