Reunion

Hot water slowly rose over my legs, Shane’s and torso as I leaned my head against his chest. I couldn’t figure out why I felt this way or why he said what he did. His words didn’t make sense but the harder I tried to understand, the more my head hurt. Only when I stopped did the pain subside. I felt lightheaded and dizzy as he caressed my hair and back. I don’t know how long we sat in the tub until I was mostly submerged in water and he turned the faucet off.
