Chapter 1

Sihana Caden

I just walked out from the hotel I lodged in and my phone start to ring, my father's name appeared on the screen making a broad smile appear on my lip.

"Hey Dad" I said as I pick up the call.

"Where are you?" He asked, making me chuckle.

The love this old man has for me made me wonder sometimes if I'm his daughter or wife.

"Dad, you can't be serious right now, are you? Of course, I just landed in Toronto an hour ago. And now, I'm on my way to inspect the property and know if we're to sign the contract with Mr. Samuel or not. You know about this already, daddy" I said in a duh tone with my eyes rolled even though he can't see me.

"I'm not joking either, Sia. Now, I regret why I made you go in place of your brothers" he hissed as he said that.

My brother Xander and my eldest brother Aiden ought to be here to handle this project but because they're handling another project, I had to come here in their place.

"Yes, yes. I know you missed me already but I will be back soon before you know it."

"Sia, you need to sign that contract as soon as possible and get down back home, okay?" he said in a serious tone.

"Dad! I'm to come back in a week. How can you ask me to come back today? Why the sudden change?"

"You need to stop questioning me, Sihana Caden. Make sure you close that deal as soon as you can and come back home! Do not argue with me okay?" He added again in a very serious tone.

"Whatever! I will be coming down once I finish wrapping things up here"

"And also, you need to make sure you don't visit any other pla-"

"Is there anything you're not telling me, Dad?" I cut him off before he could finish his words. I don't seem to understand him anymore, he's beginning to act suspiciously.

Is something wrong?

I heard a deep sigh leave his lip before he said. "I got the news just now that the most dangerous Mafia is in town and I do not want you to cross paths with him. That's why I'm this worried, Sia. You need to come back home as soon as you can" he said.

My Dad is one of the most richest and successful businessmen in the country and being his only daughter out of five children he has, made him treat me like a princess all the time. He never wants any harm to befall me. Not only him but including my brothers too. They're always protective of me. People believed, I'm my father's weakness but the truth is, my mom is his biggest weakness.

"Dad, you need to stop making me feel like a child.  I'm 23 for goodness sake! Of course, I can take care of myself. I'm your daughter remember? I know lots of self-defense if any of those bad guys come my way"

"Sihana Caden! This is not just about self-defense but a gun too, damn it! You can get hurt or anything" he hissed as he said that. I could feel the irritation in his tone.

"Fine! If you insist. I will make my way straight to the airport once I'm done closing the deal." I said.

"Perfect!" He said and hang up the call. I stared at my phone in bewilderment and shook my head. My Dad can be a drama king at times- I thought.

Just as I was about to hop in my car, something caught my attention. I saw a lady being dragged by a group of men. She's struggling hard to wiggle out of their grip but they're all stronger than her.

I watch her bite the giant guy who covers her mouth with his hand and that gave her an escape route but, it wasn't even up to two seconds, they caught her again, and this time around... A hard slap was landed roughly across her cheek. I watch her struggle to shout for help and I couldn't hold it any longer. It's time I interfere.

"Ms. Caden" My driver suddenly stopped me. I pass him a deadly glare believing he would step back but the idiot wouldn't. "Please, do not get involved. This has nothing to do with us" he beseeches me.

"Get in the car now and when I tell you to speed off, you do that immediately." I ordered.

"But you-"

"Now!!" I yelled and he scram into the car.

I hurriedly ran after them before they could get away and kicked the guy who was holding the lady from the back. He fell on the floor making the other three guys alert. They all came to me at once and I kicked them real hard at their main body point making them all groan on the floor. The last guy was proving stubborn and I've got no other choice but to kick him on his jewel.

I held the lady's arm and drag her with me. We got into the car and my driver ignite the car engine as he zoom off but, we were beginning to be chased.

"Seth, drive straight to Mr. Samuel's house. They would have no other option but to back off" I ordered before turning to the innocent woman I saved.

"Hey! Hey are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked as I inspect her body.

"Thank you so much, thank you for saving me." She said in a breathless tone.

"Who are they and why are they trying to hurt you?" I asked her and at the same time, my driver called my name in a panic tone.

"Ms. Caden, we've got a problem. A lot of them are chasing us now" I turned my head and saw three cars already chasing us but I stayed calm. This is not the first time I'm encountering a situation like this and I was already trained for something like this.

"Please, just let me go. They're mafias and they only want me. I don't want to put your lives in danger. Their boss is after me, Ralphael Francisco" she said in a scared tone.

Before I could say a word, a gun was shot into my car. Thank goodness it's a tinted car. The second car roughly bashed my car again and at the same time, a call came in for the girl. "He's... He's calling me. I'm dead! I'm so dead right now" she let out in a panicked tone. She was reluctant to pick up the call but I made her do it.

She picks up and place the phone on her ear but I set it on loudspeaker. "Becky! Do not test my patience. Get down from that car and come back to me else, I'm going to involve your kids in this. Not only will I kill your husband but also your two kids too and your brother" He threatened in a dangerous tone.

"Please, I beg of you. I'm going to do whatever you asked me to. Just.. just let my family go, please" She begged as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"You bastard! Why don't you just come out from hiding and let the innocent people go!" I burst at him as I snatched the phone from the girl.

"I guess, this is the little kitten who's trying to save my hostage" he mocks.

"Stop with the silly game and tell me where you are!" I hissed. Suddenly, a gun was shot at my car wheel.

Shit!- I mentally hissed and hang up the call on him.

"Seth, we need to find an escape route right now." I said as I hold the girl's hand but she suddenly stopped me.

"No please, just give me to them. Their boss only wa-"

"This is no longer about you. I'm now involved!" I cut her off.  "Don't worry, I will handle this. You just have to trust me, okay?"

Our car stopped and I pulled the girl out with me only to face Raphael's men already surrounding my car with their guns pointed at us.

Seth was about to face them but they shot him instead making me widen my eyes in horror. I'm burning in anger right now, I hate the fact that I'm not with a gun.

I raised my hand and they tied my hands as they took us away to a secret place. I guess they know what I'm capable of doing and rather, they tied my hands down.

We arrive at a weird location and they drag us out of the car. The girl I'm with was dragged somewhere else while I was dragged underground.

I doubt if anyone knows about this place and the strangest part is, it didn't look like a hideout or something. I hate to say this but this place looks elegant.

I was suddenly standing in the presence of their boss with a cold stare on his face. If a look could kill then, I would have been dead by now.  He got up from where he was sitting with his gun in his hand and walk towards me and he suddenly pointed the gun at my head. "How dare you cross my path?!" He asked in a dangerous tone.
