DAMIAN

I stepped closer until my shadow swallowed him whole, close enough for him to see the certainty burning in my eyes the kind of certainty that never bluffed.

“Then try me.”

His lips twitched, but the smirk didn’t mask the flicker of fear that crossed his face. He was unsure hesitant. And yet, as if to cover the weakness, a burst of laughter rolled out of him, echoing off the concrete walls.

“You won’t do it, Damian,” he sneered between chuckles. “You love Isabella too much. You’d never leave her on this earth alone. You’ll never act that way.”

I held his gaze, steady and unflinching. Deep down, he knew the truth. He knew I was capable of pressing this button and ending him. What he didn’t know was if he’d survive long enough to regret testing me.

“You should know something about me,” I said, my voice sharp as steel. “When I say I’ll do a thing, I do it.”

I raised the device higher, my thumb hovering over the trigger. Gasps rippled through his men. Panic spread across their faces

DAMIANI leaned in close, the barrel of my words pressed sharper than steel. My lips curved into a cruel smirk.“Tell me, Valentina…” My whisper cut through the air like venom. “…how do you think your father will feel when he learns I put a bullet in his only daughter’s skull?”Her breath stuttered. Terror glazed her eyes, wide and frantic, the bravado she carried crumbling into ash. I savored it the way fear bled into her veins, trembling through her voice when she finally spoke.“You… you won’t dare,” she rasped, chin tilting, though her hands quivered at her sides. “You know what it means if you kill me. You’ll begin a war.”I chuckled, low and cold, the sound more dangerous than the silence that came before it. “War? Did you just mention war?” My voice hardened as I stepped closer, forcing her back against the edge of my desk. “This war started the day your father had the audacity to put a bullet in mine. The day he stole what was his. Killing you isn’t a beginning, Valentina it’s

MATTEO““Boss, do you think Richardo will help us?” Andrew’s voice broke the silence, quiet but heavy with unease.I didn’t turn. I stood with my hands tucked in my pockets, staring out at the glittering sprawl of Paris. The city pulsed beneath me like a living beast, every light a reminder of power, of what I could take and crush if I chose. My jaw tightened as Richardo’s arrogance replayed in my mind his smug tone, his daring to cut the call short. We will see in my office. His words echoed like a slap. How dare he.The metallic click of my lighter sliced through the quiet. Flame kissed the end of my cigarette, and I drew in a slow breath, the smoke curling lazily around me before fading into the night air. The bitterness on my tongue steadied me. “He has no choice, Andrew. He’ll do it.”Andrew shifted behind me, the scrape of his shoe against the floor betraying his nerves. “And if he’s cunning? What if he turns against us?”A sharp, humorless laugh ripped from my chest. “Then I’ll

DAMIANThe heavy oak doors groaned as I pushed into my office, already tasting the bitter calm of solitude I craved. But the moment I stepped inside, I froze. She was here.Valentina.Naked, sprawled in the dim light of my office like temptation itself, her body gleaming as if she had been waiting for me. Her hips swayed with deliberate intent as she moved closer, a wicked smile curving her lips.“Damian,” she purred, her voice a silk thread winding around my throat. “Don’t you miss me?”My smirk came without effort, cold and sharp. “What are you doing here?”If only she knew. If only she understood that I had already drawn the blueprint of her family’s destruction and hers included. She thought she was playing me, but tonight, she had just made my work easier.“I told you never to come uninvited,” I said, my tone a blade of ice.“But I am your woman,” she countered, sliding her hand to my belt, her nails grazing against me.I caught her wrist mid-motion, squeezing until her smug expr

DAMIANThe silence stretched, heavy and suffocating, until it wrapped around Williams like a noose. His breathing quickened, shoulders trembling beneath the weight of my words.“Choose, Williams,” I said, my tone low, deliberate. “Their lives… or your silence.”His lips parted, stammering. “I I don’t know… I don’t know who to choose. Please… don’t place me in the hot seat.” His voice cracked, sweat dripping down his temple.I leaned back, letting a cold smirk tug at my mouth. Richard stepped closer, bending to whisper something in my ear. I listened, then rose slowly from my chair, the scrape of wood against the concrete floor loud in the tense room.“It seems your loved ones are here,” I said, my voice like ice cutting through the air. “Perhaps if I bring them in, you’ll finally speak.”Joe broke instantly, his knees hitting the floor with a thud. “Stop! Please stop! Don’t bring her in. I don’t want my daughter to see me like this. I’ll talk!” His desperation spilled out, his hands s

DAMIANThe air was damp, heavy with the stench of blood, sweat, and rust. My boots echoed against the concrete floor as I stepped into the underground chamber. One of my men straightened, his voice tight with nerves.“Boss, they didn’t confess anything.”Of course, they hadn’t. The Greco family bred loyalty like a disease. Men like Joe and William would rather choke on their tongues than spit out the truth. But everyone talks in the end. Everyone breaks.I smirked, brushing invisible dust from my coat as I surveyed the scene. My men had been drenching them with buckets of water, stripes of raw flesh on their backs from the flogging. Pathetic. That wasn’t punishment that was child’s play. The moment Joe and William caught sight of me, their trembling began. Exactly as I knew it would. Fear lived in the shadow of my name. Slowly, deliberately, I shrugged out of my coat and handed it to one of my men. My sleeves rolled up with practiced precision, every motion calculated to tighten the n

DAMIANI lean in so close that my breath brushes her skin, my voice a dark whisper.“You are mine,” I murmur, each word sharpened into a vow, a curse, a promise. “Mine in this life, and in the next. Nothing will ever change that.”Her eyes widen, shimmering with unshed tears, her throat working as if she’s swallowing down a scream. The air between us thickens, so silent that I can hear the frantic rhythm of her heartbeat pounding against her ribs.Whether she hates me or not, it doesn’t matter. She will never escape me.“I can give you anything,” I say, my tone deceptively calm, though my fingers curl into fists at my sides. “But I will never give you freedom. No matter where you run, I’ll find you. I’ll drag you back.”Her voice breaks, trembling but laced with venom. “You’re a monster. You don’t deserve to live you don’t even deserve to exist.” Her glare could cut glass. “You should be erased from this world.”I watch her fury unravel into something rawer grief. Her chest heaves as
