Larry's pov

Rowan stayed frozen, his eyes glued to the faded name at the top of the envelope. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the paper, his breathing growing shallow and heavy.

"Rowan...?" I asked softly, reaching out to touch his arm. "Are you okay?"

"Evelyn..." Rowan whispered, his voice trembling. "Your mother wrote this to my father?"

"Yes," I said quietly, leaning closer to him. "Read it, Rowan. Look at what she says."

Rowan unfolded the yellowed paper with shaking fingers. I watc

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   Princess Catherine’s news

Lsrry’s povAs Catherine stepped forward, My eyes darted to her. She was standing beside Sasha, wrapped in an elegant velvet cloak. Her face was deathly pale, her eyes red-rimmed and filled with a strange, overwhelming mix of fear, shock, and grief. She looked deeply distraught, her bottom lip trembling as she took a single, shaky step forward before stopping, unable to move any further. She looked as if she was about to faint right there on the marble floor.Seeing that Catherine was far too overwhelmed to speak, Elder Jethro turned back to Rowan and cleared his throat loudly."Because Lady Catherine is in deep shock, I shall make the announcement on her behalf," Elder Jethro declared, his voice booming across the Throne Room. "Following the chaotic incident earlier, the high alchemist who was treating King Alistair was requested to examine Lady Catherine to ensure she suffered no physical harm or distress from the chaos.""Get to the point, Jethro!" Rowan snapped, his jaw tight.El

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   The announcement

Larry’s pov“J..." Rowan repeated, his voice cracking as he rubbed his forehead in total distress. "Who the hell is 'J'?! My father never spoke about anyone with that initial! Was he seeing this person behind my mother's back? Did he have an affair with them?!""It looks like they broke up after he married your mother," I pointed out, scanning the lines again. "At least, this person was telling him to focus on Elizabeth. But if your father was still keeping these letters hidden in a secret drawer all these years... he never forgot them.""This is fucking insane," Rowan breathed, leaning back against the side of the cupboard, clutching his head in his hands. "My entire life, I thought the only secret my father had was your mother. Now I find out there's another mystery person... someone he actually loved...""Rowan, it's okay," I said softly, putting my hands over his shoulders to comfort him. "At least we know that my mother—"BANG!The heavy bedroom doors burst open, slamming hard ag

The room was deathly quiet, save for the sound of our breathing and the soft rustle of the old paper in his hands. When he reached the middle of the letter, his brow furrowed in deep confusion."I don't understand," Rowan muttered, shaking his head. "She talks about my mother... She says my mother sacrificed herself?""Look at that part again," I said, pointing to the faded ink on the page. "My mother wrote that Lady Elizabeth was using her own half-elf

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   Stay with me

Larry's povBehind us, Catherine called his name one last time, her voice echoing mournfully off the stone walls, but neither of us turned around. We soon reached my private bedroom in quiet, heavy strides.I shoved the oak door open, pulled Rowan inside, and locked it behind us with a sharp click."Sit," I commanded softly, pointing toward the edge of my bed.Rowan obeyed instantly. He sat down on the mattress, his long legs stretched out, his dark eyes fixed entirely on me as I moved around the room.I grabbed a basin of warm water, a clean cloth, and a small wooden jar of healing ointment from the washstand. Usually, Rowan was the one taking care of me. He was always the strong, indestructible protector patching up my wounds. But today, the roles were completely reversed.I pulled a wooden chair right in front of him, sitting down so I was facing his chest. I dipped the cloth into the warm water, wrung it out, and gently pressed it against a deep, bleeding cut on his shoulder."Ah!

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   Saving Rowan

Larry's povIf I didn't do something right now... Rowan was going to butcher his own people, or his own guards were going to be forced to strike him down to survive. I had to act.. FAST!I rushed forward, but a hand grabbed me."Calvin, stop! Let me go!" I shouted, tearing my wrist out of Calvin's blood-soaked grip."Larry, no! Are you insane? You cant just rush at him without a plan! He will hurt you!" Calvin screamed back, his eyes wild with pure terror as he tried to grab me again. "Look at him! He's completely out of his mind! He will kill you!"I ignored him, my chest heaving as I stared into the ruined Throne Room. The hall was a nightmare of dust, shattered marble, and screams. Dozens of royal guards were backed against the stone walls, their heavy iron shields raised in a hopeless defense.Off to the far side, cowering behind a massive stone pillar, stood Princess Catherine and my sister, Sasha. Catherine was clutching her dress to her chest, weeping softly in absolute terror

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   Meaning of the letter

Larry's povThe letter slipped from my numb fingers, fluttering harmlessly down onto the rug. And I sat on the edge of the bed, frozen, completely paralyzed with shock. My mother hadn't bought my suppressants from just any werewolf doctor.Lady Elizabeth, Rowan's mother, was the one who had created them! She was a half-elf, and she had used her own raw, ancient magic to forge a suppressant powerful enough to completely bind my wolf and mask my true nature!A sudden, horrifying memory flashed through my mind. I remembered Rowan telling me about his mother's tragic decline. He had told me how she used to lock herself away in her private quarters for days, growing weaker, sicker, and more drained every single day until she eventually passed away.Rowan thought she was dying from a broken heart or a rare illness. But it appears that she wasn't sick. She had sacrificed her own life force, draining her own magic day after day, to create the very suppressants that I had been swallowing for m

Larry's pov“Wow,” Rowan said. “I didn’t realize you’d be this shy after last night.”I gaped at him in shock. “After… after what?” my voice croaked. The laughter instantly died, and he frowned.“Wait,” he said slowly. “You don’t remember?”I felt dread fill my tummy. “Remember what?”He studied me

LARRY’S POV“Larry?” My sister, Sasha, called again, louder this time. There was something in her voice now— it sounded like confusion… and something very close to panic. “Larry, seriously, have you seen him? He’s not in his room.
