Kerris POV

The interview invite came yesterday around noon. The job ad was posted anonymously. Everyone knows that when you see an ad like that, you expect it to be a small establishment that can't offer much and is too ashamed to reveal themselves to jobseekers. It turns out that that is far from the case. My invite came from Stone Corporations. I still can't believe it.

This could be luck or bad luck. I spent the last twelve hours debating whether to go or not. Here I am in front of the mirror putting on my favorite pencil skirt even though I don't particularly feel well.

I'd woken up this morning with a fever that vanished after I washed my face. The fever left and was replaced by the same restlessness from yesterday. I was also attacked by the same fleeting pain in my stomach and spine while taking a shower.
