Serena pov

I walked back into my room, wiping my tears. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Logan and my stepmother, together. It was like a punch to the gut. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

I collapsed onto my bed, feeling like my world was crashing down around me. I had trusted Logan, I had given him my heart. And he had thrown it away, for my stepmother of all people.

I thought back to all the times Logan had told me he loved me, all the times he had promised to take care of me. It was all a lie. He had been using me all along.

All I had to do was wait until my father got back, and let him see his so-called wife's true color. Maybe he would still love her. And the baby..? I was starting to doubt if it was even his.

She’s three months pregnant. Could it be Logan’s? My heart sank even further. How long have they been sleeping with each other? If he had known I had nothing to offer him why did he stay with me for so long? Too hurt my feelings?

And Victoria… She was old enough to be his mother! I reached for my drawer, pulling out my mothers picture.

“This has to be the worst birthday ever, mother”. I murmured, letting the tears flow. “How I wish you were here, I really can’t go on with this anymore”. I cried.

************

I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. My face was parched from crying, and my eyes felt like they were made of sandpaper. I was about to drag myself out of bed and stumble to the bathroom when I heard my dad's voice. He was back.

My heart skipped a beat as I quickly washed my face and grabbed my phone. It was time to expose Victoria's dirty secrets. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves.

As I stepped out of my room, Victoria was waiting for me, a smug look plastered on her face. "Now look who we have here..." she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

I tried to sound confident, but my voice was shaking. "What?" I asked, trying to play it cool.

Victoria raised an eyebrow. "Where do you think you're going?" she asked, her tone condescending.

I stood up straight, my anger boiling over. "To show Dad how much of a disgrace you are”. I spat, slamming the door shut behind me.

Victoria snarled, her face twisting in anger. "And you think he'd believe you?" she sneered.

“Ain’t you even ashamed of what you didn’t? Sleeping with your stepdaughter’s mate? Do you have any idea what kind of problems it can cause within the pack?”I asked.

She scoffed, crossing her hand against her chest. “Like I care about the pack or tribe as a whole? Actually, I am doing it for the tribe” I frown at her words. What does she mean by that?

“Wait until I tell dad about you.”

She signed, “Dear stepdaughter, you and I both know your dad will never choose you over me nor will he believe anything that comes out of your filthy mouth”.

I smiled, a cold, hard smile. "Maybe if I hadn't caught you in the act on video, he wouldn't," I said, waving my phone in her face. "But I have proof, and this time I will make sure you’re kicked out."

Victoria's eyes flashed with anger, and she made a grab for my phone. But I was ready for her. I pulled back, my heart racing. "Forget you're pregnant or my father’s wife, if you dare take one step closer to me," I warned her, my voice low and deadly. "I won't hesitate to hit you."

I pushed past Victoria, my feet pounding the stairs as I made my way downstairs. "Now get out of my way," I said, not looking back.

But Victoria's voice stopped me in my tracks. "Serena, please," she begged, her voice laced with desperation.

I felt a tug on my arm as Victoria grabbed me, holding me tight. "Please don't kill my baby," she screamed, her eyes wild with fear.

I frowned, confusion etched on my face. What was she talking about? "What are you..." I started to ask, but before I could finish, Victoria's grip on my arm loosened, and she fell backwards.

A scream tore from my lips as I watched in horror, frozen in place, as Victoria tumbled down the stairs. Time seemed to slow down as I watched Victoria's body bounce down the stairs, her screams echoing through the hallway. I felt like I was in a nightmare, unable to move or look away.

Finally, Victoria's body came to a stop at the bottom of the stairs, lying motionless on the floor. I felt a rush of fear and panic as I realized what had just happened.

I took a step forward, my heart racing, and then another, my legs feeling like jelly. I reached the bottom of the stairs and knelt down beside Victoria, my hands shaking as I reached out to touch her.

"Oh my mother!" Mia's scream pierced the air, followed by the sound of footsteps as she rushed over with my father by her side.

I shook my head frantically, trying to defend myself. "I didn't do it, Father! I didn't..." I protested, but my words were cut short.

A stinging slap connected with my cheek, the sound echoing through the hallway like a crack of thunder. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, my ears ringing from the impact. For a moment, I thought I'd gone deaf.

"David, my baby..." Victoria's weak voice called out, her hand reaching out to touch my father's arm. I watched as my father's face contorted with worry and concern.

“Call the ambulance”. He said to Mia.

I turned to Logan, my eyes pleading with him to believe me. "Logan, I swear I didn't push her," I said, my voice shaking with desperation.

But Logan's face was twisted in anger and disgust. "When Mia first told me, you've been trying to kill your stepmother all because you're jealous, I didn't believe it," he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "But now... how can I have someone so evil like you as my mate?" he yelled, his words cutting deep into my heart.

“I, Logan Harris, soon to be alpha of the black wood pack, rejected you, Serena William, as my mate!”. I stood there, frozen in shock, as Logan's words cut through me like a knife. The rejection stung, a searing pain that felt like it was burning a hole in my chest. I gasped for air, falling to the ground my lungs constricting as if they were being squeezed by an invisible hand.

"How...how could you?" I whispered, my voice trembling with hurt. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, all the air knocked out of me.

“From now on, there’s no place for an omega like you in my pack anymore. Serena William, daughter of beta William is hereby banished from black wood pack. You shall never step foot in here again.”

Serena’s POVI stared at Rhett, completely thrown off. “You’re joking.” It was a statement, but from the expression on his face, I knew that he wasn’t joking. He chuckled. “You make it sound ridiculous.”“Because it is ridiculous,” I shot back. “Why would you like me?”“Fine! Just pretend to be my girlfriend for a few weeks. No, days,” he said, sounding every bit serious.I scoffed. “Why would I do that?”“Because,” he said smoothly, leaning casually against the infirmary doorframe, “I thought about what you said. The Elders never actually asked me about getting engaged. They just assumed. And since I don’t like being told what to do, I figured that we should break their little plan before it even starts.” I frowned. “And how exactly does pretending to be your girlfriend help with that?” Rhett shrugged. “They’re going to announce my engagement at next week’s party. But if I show up with you, they’ll have no choice but to back off.” I folded my arms. “Sounds like a you problem. Tha

Serena’s POVApollo’s fever wasn’t going down. His tiny fingers clutched at my shirt as I hurried through the frozen hallways. The infirmary was just ahead. I pushed the door open with my shoulder. “Doctor!” I called out, my voice urgent as I prayed inwardly that someone would be there.A middle-aged woman in a white coat turned from the counter. Her sharp eyes softened when she saw Apollo bundled in my arms. “He has a fever,” I explained quickly, laying him down on one of the beds. “The heating system is broken. I don’t know how long he’s been like this.” She quickly came over, placing a gentle hand on his forehead. “His fever is high,” she confirmed, her brows knitting together. “We need to bring it down before it gets worse.” “What do we do?” I asked anxiously. “The children’s fever medicine is in the storeroom, could you get it for me? I need to monitor his breathing.”“Yes, of course.” I turned and rushed out. The wind howled through the corridors as I made my way toward t

Serena’s POVI felt Dorian’s grip on me tighten before he suddenly let go and took a step back, his expression unreadable. He picked up my phone, eyes scanning through the new files Sophia had sent.I didn’t move. Didn’t dare.Every swipe of his thumb felt like it carved deeper into my chest.I didn’t try to take it back—too afraid it would make things worse, too afraid of what he might think. The air in the room turned suffocating. Gone was the warmth from our kiss, replaced by something cold, sharp, and distant. When he finally finished, he set the phone down without a word. Calm. Controlled. But I knew—something between us had shifted. And there was no going back.“Dorian…” I whispered. His eyes eyes burned with something I couldn’t name. And for the first time, I felt afraid.I swallowed hard. “Dorian, please…” “You said you liked me.” His voice was low, but it carried something dabgerous. “But you don’t trust me.” The words hit me harder than any physical blow. I reached

Serena’s POVDorian was hurt. That was all I could think about as I watched him stand there, blood seeping from his side, his silver fur marred by deep scratches. Damien had won. The realization sank in like a stone in my stomach, but before I could move towards Dorian, a firm hand clamped around my wrist. “Where do you think you’re going?” Damien’s voice was low and sharp, a clear warning. I turned to glare at him, trying to yank my hand free, but his grip only tightened. His dark eyes burned into mine, filled with authority and something darker… possessiveness. “We made a deal, Serena.” His tone was deceptively calm, but there was something about it…something that made my blood boil. I knew exactly what he was talking about. I lifted my chin. “I never agreed to this competition.” His jaw twitched. “But you let it happen and it happened.” I scoffed. “I tried to stop it, but none of you listened to me.” I motioned towards the gathered wolves, their murmurs filling the air. “A

Serena’s POVI was still soaked, my lungs still burning from the water Damien had shoved me under, but as I watched the three of them stand there, ready to fight over me like I was some prize, rage burned through my veins.I knew what this was. It wasn’t about me. It was about dominance, about their ego.About who could claim me. And I refused to be treated like some object to be won. I pushed myself up from the edge of the bathtub, my body trembling with exhaustion and anger. My voice was raw from coughing, but I forced it out anyway. “Are you serious?” I snapped, glaring at all three of them. “You’re actually going to fight each other over me?” I almost laughed at the thought of that.Dorian’s eyes flicked to mine, still dark with anger from what Damien had just done to me. “It’s the only way to make sure he stays away from you.”I turned to Damien, who was standing stiffly, his wet clothes clinging to his muscled frame, his expression unreadable. I shook my head, thoroughly pi

Serena’s POVRhett grabbed me just then, pulling me to his body which was warm against mine. He exhaled a sharp breath, pulling back slightly, but his arm remained protectively around my waist.Damien’s eyes flickered to his hands and then at my face and his entire body stiffened.“Serena.” His voice was low, rough, and unmistakably demanding. “Come here.”A shiver ran down my spine, but not from fear.Anger burned in my chest, simmering under my skin like an open flame. Before I could respond, another voice cut in.“Damien, enough,” Dorian said, stepping into the kitchen with his usual calm authority. His eyes moved between us, assessing the situation. He narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed on Rhett’s hand on my waist. “Let’s not make a scene.”Damien didn’t even glance at him. His eyes stayed locked on mine.“I asked you a question,” he said. “Did you choose him?”Rhett scoffed. “Oh, for fuck’s sake..”“Serena…”“I caused the explosion,” Rhett admitted, rubbing the back of his neck wi
