Chapter 15 - What was and what might come.

Leah’s POV

Unfortunately for her, she made it clear that she didn’t want to be friends with any of us. Not even my guards, and kept mostly to herself all through the morning. I decided that I had been understanding enough up to that point and if she wanted to play things this way, I would follow her lead. She soon found out that she wasn’t the one in charge of this entire situation in what was her territory, she would soon find out she was even less in charge than she thought here! Everybody had lunch together and it was kind of strange to sit at the head of the table with Eli to my left and Sebastian to my right. Thankfully, the elders joined us and it broke some of the tension, but the underlying tension remained. After lunch, everyone split up into their own groups and I was once again left in the care of my two guards.

“I thought that went pretty well.” The young one commented, and the older woman burst out laughing.

“If you thought that went well, you still have a lot to learn.

I understand that we need storyline, but I feel like the story could've just as good it not better if she had been honest with Sebastian in the first place; which by the way I hope she chooses Sebastian. There is the whole back story with the vampires that would have been a better front story.
