Leah’s POV
I woke up feeling more rested than I ever had before. The weight of the world I had been carrying for so long had finally been lifted off my shoulders. Finding Sebastian hadn’t been the fairy tale I always imagined when finding my mate, but it was my fairy tale. No, our fairy tale. We would make it the best we ever had. A strange thought popped into my head, as I wondered how much control the moon goddess really had over our destinies if there was something like second-chance mates. I mean, if you found your destined mate, wasn’t that meant to be it? Weren’t you meant to live happily ever after? Okay! I was getting too damn lost in fairy tales! I laughed and shook my head as I climbed into the shower.

Sebastian’s POV Feeling the vampire venom running through my veins, it felt as if my body was being torn apart cell by cell. I laughed as I went through some of the arrangements with Emily, but we all deserved a little happiness and this mating ceremony was going to be the thing to do. I could look at those projects a little later since this seemed to be at the top of the priority list. Emily had so many ideas that I almost wondered if she didn’t wish it was her wedding day we were planning or something.
